Apart from chemicals, there is oxyen, water temperature and bacteria or natural toxins from algae species. I;m sure they will find the cause. But I do think it's jumping the gun to automatically blame it on a chemical spill without some evidence.

Lack of oxygen?

I read on the BBC that test results were showing increased levels of oxygen in the water. But few details, so I guess we'll have to wait for more information.

'Lab detected high levels of salinity but no mercury poisoning in waters'. Unbelievable.

Where does the salinity originate?

Apart from mercury, are there other toxic chemicals?

Lack of oxygen?

Fish don't die easily..
