Ahhh, you mean socialists. Well, why didn't you say that? WE DO HAVE LIBERALS, but as far as socialists and a few that follow the Marxists agenda like AOC, Omar, Bush our liberals are socialists to the core.

Bernie is a democratic socialist that is true but socialism is an economic policy. Liberalism is a societal point of view. They are not in the same category.

They are just less right wing.

They are nothing close to right-wing,

That's because of the far right swing to the right.

What you see as Liberals are actually conservatives

No, I see anti-American Socialists that are driven to push a Marxist agenda.

See what I mean?

No, because we never had the far-right in power, if we did there would be no liberals left.

Sure you had. Trump

I would like to see the old-style Democrats that cared for the working man, we don't have that anymore

agree. They followed the GOP lead.

and now that has flipped to the conservatives, they have become the party for the working man that embraces capitalism and the radical far-left embrace radical socialism and tenets or Marxism.

I would like to see the old style republicans of Ronald Reagan who NEVER wanted to build walls. Who advocated open borders even with Mexico

I weep for Canada, used to be a great country.

Still is.

I weep for Canada, used to be a great country.

Still is. One of the best countries on earth to live.

When did it stop being a great country? What happened?

Exactly, as Ally has been saying all along, the US does not have liberals.

Pretty much, they're more like the socialists of Canada and both are now indistinguishable.

sorry mate. The US does not have liberals.

That's like saying, the US doesn't have Hollywood.

You have democrats. And with the exception of Bernie none of them are liberal.

They are nothing close to right-wing, I am from California and my State didn't have a lot of right-winged people, still doesn't. Orange County CA. is a very conservative county, clean, low crime, you can walk the streets, outside of OC you go into LA County a complete opposite nightmare owned and operated by liberals that enjoy a huge entitlement system

What you see as Liberals are actually conservatives

No, I see anti-American Socialists that are driven to push a Marxist agenda.

And what you see as conservative are right-wing republicans.

No, because we never had the far-right in power, if we did there would be no liberals left.

Conservatives are in control of all branches of government as well as the media.

If you want to believe that fairytale you go right ahead

Its just which brand of conservative are you? Center right democrat or far right Republican?

The US has no business interfering in Canadian elections.

Does that go for everyone and all foreign elections?

I hope you said the same thing about Trump weighing in on the Brexit vote, putting his weight behind a candidate for the Tory leadership in the UK, advocating for an electoral pact between two UK political parties and inviting a British politician to speak at his rallies.

Just checking for consistency. There is often a lack of it from our more partisan posters.

Ok, not for you, but for most conservatives he’s further left than the liberals we have and they’re pretty bad

In the US today, politics has surged so far to the right

Stop, if that were even remotely true. Conservatives would be in control of all branches of government as well as the media. They’re nowhere near that…yet

What you see as Liberals are actually conservatives. And what you see as conservative are right wing republicans. So in some way you are correct. Conservatives are in control of all branches of government as well as the media. Its just which brand of conservative are you? Center right democrat or far right Republican?

No. That's incorrect. Trudeau is left but not overly.

Not nearly as right as the left is left and Canada is more left than that is astounding.

No. That's incorrect. Trudeau is left but not overly. In the US today, politics has surged so far to the right that anything slightly left appears to be far left.

I think the scary part is how far right the US is

In terms of diplomatic decorum, politicians don't make statements like this during other nations' election campaigns. It is seen as interference in domestic affairs. This sort of thing backfired badly in the Brexit referendum campaign when foreign leaders weighed in with comments supporting the status quo.

Not all. Trump weighed in on the side of Brexit. Nigel Farage repaid the favour by appearing at Trump rallies in the US.

I don’t think foreign politicians have that much sway in these situations. In the Brexit vote, I don’t think the likes of Trump or Obama changed many voting intentions.

My God, that’s scary how far left is Canada????

I think the scary part is how far right the US is

Please explain exactly how someone can interfere in something that has finished.

Former U.S. presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders weighed in on Canada's election Friday, endorsing liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his leftist rival Jagmeet Singh, respectively.

So why does their opinions matter? Explain that one….

since when has Hillary been a leftist?? She's more to the right than O'Toole in Canada

Do Canadians even care what these people think?

Apparently they care enough to invite these two

It's a better idea to learn from historical failures, than to repeat them.

Is that politically legal?

By invitation?
