Yeah...kinda been following the midterms, initially out of fear, and most of the Trump-supported candidates who lost were kind enough to admit defeat. Prior to and during the election, Lake ranged from vague to combative in terms of answering whether she would concede if she lost as well as taking great pains to avoid answering questions that weren't about the "cultural war".

The GOP leadership does not appear to share your optimistic appraisal of the situation but that's hardly surprising. Knowing what's really going on with the electorate is kind of a job requirement for a leading politician so I would expect them to be quite good at it.

I think they are disappointed with the overall results from the entire election process, they didn’t quite meet all their goals, some of them they did, but there were many reasons why they didn’t do as well not just one, so they need to strongly get those under control, but other than that they know full well that just having the house. they will have more oversight, and that will force Biden to come to the table if he wants to get certain things done for his caucus.
