And this is why the Taiwanese are looking at Hong Kong and thinking, "we don't want to be like that"

What China is doing in Hong Kong is backfiring in trying to make itself look appealing to Taiwan

Will it still be online?

The PRC is and never was our "friendo".

...is not and never was.

My bad.

Are you as upset by the US 'seizing' several prodemocracy news outlets websites?

Or, are you the equivalent of a Trumper screaming 'fake news' at any media which doesn't conform to your opinions?

If you think you have a definition of propaganda that fits PressTV but not the BBC, and wouldn't, from the Chinese point of view, justify what was done to Apple Daily, please post it, and see if your definition actually does thread the needle the way you believe.

One other thing the US could do, but this would be a near-nuclear option, would be to prohibit Chinese firms from doing business in US Dollars or using any aspect of the US financial system.

Lol! That’ll never happen with this administration, nope, never. Like P.Smith said, nice knowing you and good luck

Did it happen with the previous one ?

Hong Kong is like that tiny dot fading out on your old color TV.

What a shame.

Despicable, but not a shock in the least for this commie puppet territory.

Hong Kong is now the sewer of China.

I feel the West should have done more to prevent what's happening to HK, but on the other I have no idea what. Harsh condemnation means absolutely nothing to people like Xi.

If the EU, US, Canada, Japan, Australia and UK all decided to impose a trade and travel embargo on China the Chinese would have no choice but to change. Without the US and EU markets the Chinese economy would be crippled.
