Good for them. I wish them success in their struggle against Communist China, for democracy and freedom. PRC cannot hold back an 8 Million person army forever.

Counting down the days until China cracks down on them.

OH, my dearest Heavenly God Father, please send your arms and troops to Hong Kong, people of Hong Kong are eagerly waiting for you! My heart is broken into debris and saddened tears are full of eyes. I am aware of your eternal power and lasting love, faith and courage. Please expel the Nazi Chinese military forces out off Hong Kong. Please remove that notorious fascist woman Carrie Lam out off office right now! My God Father, please be with Hong Kong eternally and bless the poor people. Your daughter in Japan

Let the freedom fighters protest. let people know what true democracy means to them.

When lies and oaths mix, the world becomes a dark place. When violence and hatreds are praised, the world splits. Colonizers will never conquer the strong and informed people, only the weak and ignorant ones.

I wish them luck too but it isn’t 8 million. The international community won’t do anything of substance when the CCP gets its hands around the throat. As an Aussie, you know how the west either bows or turns a blind eye to what the CCP does now.

Not sure what people expect the west to do or can do... Not like US isn't already in a trade war with china.

I don’t expect the west to do anything. China is too powerful now and they play the long game. China knows Trump is temporary and his posturing is red meat to idiots in his minority base.

As stated by myself and others above, they’ll do nothing of substance. They can’t.

There are currently protests in France, in Ireland, in Scotland, in England, in Venezuela, in Kashmir, in Pakistan , in Turkey, and, of course, the US. Why not have the US and its so-called allies invade all these countries? Next time there are protests in Japan, why not have them invade Japan also?

Let nations take care of their own problems; we don't need more wars.

People, rise up and defeat the dictators. In China, in the US, in Russia.

We can win this.

Hoping for passive resistance...Gandhi style.

the "protests" are sponsored and paid by washington, already full proof exists

HK is China and have been so since handed back

Majority of people actually doing the work in HK are mainland Chinese ... that are for some reason looked down upon by HK Chinese ( racism)

3.Quite a bit of Mainland new rich ( criminals ) run away to HK, hence they hate the fact they could be extradited back

Time for China to take back control, and restore peace to special economic zone .. or pretty soon the trade will stop there.

dear Akie .. colonizers? you man the Japanese that tried to take over HK or the Brits? HK is China, and has been forever.

With all due respect, lumping the US in with China and Russia is disingenuous.

You can march and protest in the US. You and I marched in free countries. No great heroism.

Putin, and even worse, the CCP, do things we knew we wouldn’t have to face. This could end up with people locked up for a very long time or dead.

The mainland will eventually tire of these protests and put the boot in hard. And you know what? No-one will do a thing.

Yep, correct. And there is nothing we can do, either.

But like with Crimea,Russia just took it with no real repercussion

Completely different situation. But yeah, I know that is not what CNN tells its consumers. We must hate Russia because orange man bad. I get it.

Jimizo: "You can march and protest in the US. You and I marched in free countries. No great heroism."

Tell that to the 4 killed and 9 injured in the Kent State protests. Tell that to the 2 killed and the 12 wounded in the Jackson State protests.

History is very enlightening.

I think a bit of perspective is needed. These few deaths are awful but are nothing compared to what the CCP has done and continues to do. I know you hate the US but they are better than most in allowing people to protest.

You know this. There’s no need to be disingenuous.
