I reaffirmed myself again that democracy and human rights are very important for people who live there.

Criminal violent destructive anti mother extreme terrorist hooligans have nothing to do with the civilized Northeast Asian democracy.

Agreed, but this article isn't about China and Xi; it's about a real democracy (Taiwan) and a democratically elected president (Tsai).

Chip Star, democratically elected president Tsai ? What a joke. Did 1.4 billion Chinese elect her ? Not on the planet of Earth. Never.

-15 ( +0 / -15 )

zichi, HK's democracy is definitely not the same as UK's democracy. Never. Chinese people are not violent, as simple as that.

Chinese don't elect any of their leaders. That's irrelevant because we are talking about Taiwanese electing their president.

If Taiwan were actually part of China, Taiwan wouldn't have its own president or military.

Of course not. Why would people of an entirely different nation vote in Independent Taiwan’s elections?

You don’t think we’re stupid enough to believe Taiwan is part of China just because you are that stupid, do you?

Chinese people are not violent, as simple as that.

Ever hear of Tiananmen, Tibet, or the Uigurs? All prime examples of how Chinese people aren't violent.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Never. Chinese people are not violent, as simple as that.

So all the news reports, videos, photo on the HK youth are all part of a fake news. Ok copy that! So no one can be arrested and imprisoned for 20 years because it never happened.

Chinese Uighurs have been accused of violence and falsely imprisoned.

Stop believing everything your leaders tell you.

I hope the troll farm pays well.

To use extremists against laws is despicable, as simple as that.

To use extremists against laws is despicable, as simple as that

Agreed, but that's not happening in Hong Kong. What's happening is freedom loving people fighting back against the creeping tentacles of the corrupt, dishonest, undemocratic, authoritarian CCP

zichi said "Chinese Uighurs have been accused of violence and falsely imprisoned."

Chinese Uighurs have never been accused of violence and never imprisoned by Chinese. Maybe by your govt.

Once again Akie shows she’s clueless of reality and only knows the lies her government has told her.

Shocking, innit.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

unfortunately it’s standard more than shocking. When you talk to many Chinese people you find out how many of the only know the lies they have been told.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Chip Star, is your quoted document an official Chinese govt document ?

Of course not; I want truthful documents, not the lies the Chinese government publishes.

Im not surprised that you couldn't read the articles given your government activity blocks its people from certain websites and apps. What a sad existence.

They always seem to be shouting, so not sure how you've been able to talk with any.

Mainland Chinese are generally nice people until you talk politics with them. The all you hear is years of brainwashing coming out their mouths.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

OMG. chip star and strangerland feed each other again. quote each other as "sources", as always.

You may want to re-read our posts and/or look up the definition of quoting.

"Funny that Hong King didn't have any of these demonstrations until the authoritarians in Beijing took control."

Hahaha, who are real authoritarians ?

Hahaha, who are real authoritarians ?

The Chinese Communist Party.

Rhats been my experience, but they still seem to always be shouting.

I suggest if you have it watch a recent documentary on BBC World about the Chinese Uighurs. Very Revealing. Even Chinese official telling the BBC that Uighurs would probably commit murder so better to lock them up in prisons to prevent that from happening.

Both Taiwan and HK needs to hang onto its freedoms and independence otherwise they'll go out the Chinese sprout.

zichi, is BBC a Chinese govt ?

Nope. However, the BBC has credibility, unlike the Chinese government.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Chip Star, what credibility ? Colonization credibility ?

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

Chip Star, did BBc say that "the Chinese government colonized Tibet" ?

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

What is happening to the Uighurs could one day soon also be happening to HK and Taiwan peoples.
