Graham's probably conflicted. On the one hand if Mueller appears, Graham could draw attention to himself as a Trump sycophant, appealing to the 35% of Americans favoring trump uber alles.

An Attorney General who insists that a president can be his/ her own judge and jury, with an absolute right to thwart oversight and undermine due process, is a clear and present danger to American democracy, and advocates a clear violation of the separation of powers. A fundamental requirement of a democracy. He must be removed from office. He has amassed sufficient evidence for his own impeachment and conviction. Where is that old fashion admiration and respect for the founding fathers and America The Beautiful?

The House Judiciary Committee threatened Friday to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress if he does not comply with a new Monday deadline for providing special counsel Robert Mueller's full, unredacted report on his Russia probe and some underlying materials.

If Nadler wishes to follow thru on his threat to subpoena Barr, Nadler will have to convince a judge that his subpoena is more than just a fishing expedition to uncover "something" that can be used to impeach Trump, or something that might improve a Democrat's chance to beat Trump in 2020. Nadler runs the risk of looking desperate, and childish, when a judge refuses to allow Barr to release the full, unredacted report because it is against U.S. law for Barr to do so. And Nadler knows this to be true.

It's also obvious that elected Democrats are not interested in actually reading the report. They only wish to complain about something.

"It is astonishing to me that not a single Democrat has yet to go read the less redacted version of the report, yet they keep asking for more," Sanders said.

The top Republican on the panel, Georgia Rep. Doug Collins, echoed the White House frustration.

"As Chairman Nadler continues to turn down free information from the Justice Department, he once again places absurd demands on the department to comply with his oversight request," Collins said.

Trump and his supporters in the US and 'abroad' have said all along they want to undermine the systems established by the founding fathers (with the exception of the 2nd Amendment) to establish Trump as executive uber alles.

His 448-page report unearthed many links between Russians and Trump's campaign, but concluded there was insufficient evidence to establish a criminal conspiracy between the campaign and Moscow. Uhhh, I think you have it backwards. Barr knows the law and more importantly FOLLOWS the law in regards to Congress. The Dems are playing with fire and will soon be embarrassed and burned.

As a US citizen, I'm going to start recommending impeachment from the ground up (Barr, Trump, and anyone else that isn't doing their job for the people of this country). Too many GOP cronies have thrown our country, it's constitution, and law under the bus to satiate their own desires for power and control. Corruption through the roof.

Three years we were treated to the media going hysteric and ballistic over collusion. Waiting with bated breath for the Mueller Report to be the last nail in Dangerous Don's political coffin, followed by impeachment, followed by Hillary Clinton being magically elevated to the White House.

Didn't happen. Mueller found no collusion or conspiracy or cooperation with Russia. That was the primary purpose of the whole investigation. So suddenly, the attention shifts to obstruction, which is a much harder crime to either prove or disprove. The past three years of vituperation? To quote the late great Gilda Radner, "never mind..."

Now they are going after Barr for the crime of releasing the report in a timely fashion. Whetever the situation between Barr and Mueller over the summary that Barr wrote is irrelevant. the ENTIRE report is publicly available, for anyone to read. It's like complaining over the content of a movie trailer when the movie is already in the theatre.

As to Nadler's request to see all the witness notes, interview vids, and complete unredacted report, it is ridiculous. I guess suddenly Mueller is another Trumpian villain, never mind he was the savior up to a month ago. Nadler's just trolling for tidbits that he can slowly leak to friendly media over the next 18 months to keep the pot simmering. The report was delivered. Time to move on.
