“How can we send an additional $47 BILLION to Ukraine for security while terrorists, drugs, and criminals flood our southern border?” tweeted Rep. Matt Rosendale, R-Mont.

How???, it's so pathetic..

“How can we send an additional $47 BILLION to Ukraine for security while terrorists, drugs, and criminals flood our southern border?” tweeted Rep. Matt Rosendale, R-Mont.

Easy! Because terrorists, drugs, and criminals aren't flooding your southern border.

The lone Democrat to vote against the measure was Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York.

As Bernie Sanders advances in years, I have some hope for AOC to take up his mantle of being a rare principled voice for the people in Congress.

“I’m just befuddled by some of these right-wing Republicans who don’t want to help Ukraine,” Schumer said. “It’s always been, the more hard right you were, the more anti-Soviet you were, but all of a sudden, they’re pro. I hope it’s not a residue of Trump.”

That's because Russia is no longer communist - it has flipped to fascism, and that sits well with a large part of the republican party.

Of course it's a residue of Trump.

That's because Russia is no longer communist - it has flipped to fascism, and that sits well with a large part of the republican party.

Of course it's a residue of Trump.

I don't think Russia ever was Communist. But I don't even think that turning Fascist is why the right-wing in America is pro-Russia, it's much simpler than that; Trump likes Putin, so they like Putin, Putin likes Russia, so they like Russia. It's not like put any thought into it beyond "our boy said it so it must be true because he's a god of business and sticks it to the libs".

If the Tsars were still around they would have been feted and wined and dined like MBS now .

Jim McGovern, D-Mass, who said “after listening to that, it's clear he doesn't have the votes yet," a reference to McCarthy's campaign to become speaker.

It will be fun to see McCarthy try to control the rowdy MAGA caucus. The GOP House will get nothing done, and any destructive action they take will hurt them politically.

If these people end up defunding military support to Ukraine, there’s going to be some major consequences.

The MAGA/RINO civil war will be good for Democrats. And that will be good for Americans overall.

Let the MAGA and the RINOs eat each other. The RINOs let MAGA happen, and enabled it while it was happening, so it's only fitting that Trump is going to bring them down now.

With what accomplishments? The woman has not successfully passed any personal legislative bill.

It will be fun to see McCarthy try to control the rowdy MAGA caucus. The GOP House will get nothing done,

They will. But the thing that I look forward and the best Christmas present for me is, this is it for the Democrats in the House. They’re done and we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

and any destructive action they take will hurt them politically.

No, that’s why they got the GOP the House, now we don’t and won’t need to worry that our money will be thrown around and given to everyone else except to our own citizens. Zelenskyy will have to ask and beg Germany now for some cash as he should. I’m stoked!

If these people end up defunding military support to Ukraine, there’s going to be some major consequences.

Good! Most Americans don’t want our money going to that country or any other country anyway. We have a catastrophe along our Southern border and yet this Congress wants to give more of our money to this guy?? Yeah, no, he should enjoy this last gift (if you want to call it that) he’s done, thank god!

Ir is hard and takes time to build legislative coalition when you are not taking massive Citizens United Super PAC corporate donations.

But you wouldn't know that as you adore corporate welfare beholden legislators in American politics.

Or could it be that none of her radical ideas would never make pass congress.

But you wouldn't know that as you adore corporate welfare beholden legislators in American politics.

No, I just don’t adore radical unnecessary socialist policies that would further cripple the country and burden the taxpayer.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

The McConnell-McCarthy war over this bill was entertaining to watch - and a preview of what the next two years will look like...

McConnell and his RINO faction teaming with Dems to pass legislation in a bipartisan manner....while Kevin and his Kooky Caucus whine and moan in irrelevancy...

Expect them to up the crazy as Chuck and Mitch out-maneuver them and they can't get any attention other than investigating Hugo Chavez (dead) and Chinese-made vote-changing thermostats...

No, I just don’t adore radical unnecessary socialist policies that would further cripple the country and burden the taxpayer.

Giving the taxpayer monies to billionaires (job creators) and corporate welfare: Good

Giving taxpayer monies back to the population which needs it:

Socialist crippling policies bankrupting Peter to pay Paul etc etc.

Do you know poor people that can provide employment, or payroll, pay raises?

Giving taxpayer monies back to the population which needs it:

This bill doesn’t do that.

Socialist crippling policies bankrupting Peter to pay Paul etc etc.

That’s why People Are fleeing from California and New York as fast as they can.

2016-2020....

A massive $2.4 TRILLION socialist COVID relief bill...

New huge $16 BILLION welfare subsidies for farmers...

A titanic UNFUNDED $1.9 TRILLION tax break for the richest 1%....

A budget deficit INCREASE of $7.8 TRILLION over those four years...

How'd you adore those radical socialist policies?

ROFL...

A massive $2.4 TRILLION socialist COVID relief bill...

We just got hit by a pandemic

New huge $16 BILLION welfare subsidies for farmers...

Protecting US farmers, the heart and breadbasket of America over our growing dependence on China

A titanic UNFUNDED $1.9 TRILLION tax break for the richest 1%....

Let me know if poor people can provide jobs.

A budget deficit INCREASE of $7.8 TRILLION over those four years...

To repair the fiscal destruction from the socialist Democrats….again, more reason why the People decided to fire Nancy and her minions.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Good! Most Americans don’t want our money going to that country or any other country anyway.

Fortunately that is incorrect. The majority of Americans support continued military and financial aid for Ukraine. Here’s a recent poll. You like those, sometimes. It’s by The Ronald Reagan Institute no less:

Bass: Do you know poor people that can provide employment, or payroll, pay raises?

I don't really see how that qualifies as a reason to shovel taxpayer money back to the ultra wealthy while the middle and working class pay the bills.

The US needs a strong middle class (ie non-job creators to you) to spend money to keep the economy going, not another foreign yacht for the rich.

And finally, as we've seen with Trump, he can use tax laws not available to regular Americans to pay zero taxes before new tax breaks even take effect. We shouldn't be spending time giving him even more advantages. They have enough already.

A massive $2.4 TRILLION socialist COVID relief bill...

We just got hit by a pandemic

And Trump chose a socialist remedy....

New huge $16 BILLION welfare subsidies for farmers...

Protecting US farmers, the heart and breadbasket of America over our growing dependence on China

So he chose another socialist remedy...

A titanic UNFUNDED $1.9 TRILLION tax break for the richest 1%....

Socialists live UNFUNDED things - see the trend here?

A budget deficit INCREASE of $7.8 TRILLION over those four years...

Fiscal socialist destruction? By your own defibition, you just described 2016-20.....ROFL...

The Trump subsidies for soy farmers were for their loss of exports to China because of his trade war. Nothing to do with protecting America's breadbasket.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Bipartisan bill, that must hurt.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Good! Most Americans don’t want our money going to that country or any other country anyway.

Do you have evidence for the popularity of this opinion? Even most Republicans would strongly oppose cutting off all aid to Ukraine, no less all aid to any country.

What happened to your previous complaint about Obama’s shortage of military aid to Ukraine? Now you’re advocating a complete halt to all foreign aid? Other than the MTG/Matt Gaetz wingnut wing of the GOP, you’d be hard pressed to find any support for your proposal.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

And Trump chose a socialist remedy....

No, The Senate, and House Democrats pushed for it.

So he chose another socialist remedy...

Temporary, different from cradle to grave entitlements

Socialists live UNFUNDED things - see the trend here?

No, nice dodge, so how many poor people can provide jobs? Exact numbers please.

Fiscal socialist destruction? By your own defibition, you just described 2016-20.....ROFL...

Which has nothing to do with the American people firing Nancy.

Yes, it does. It most definitely does.

Anyway, I’m happy that in 2 weeks this nonsense stops.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Yup! The House.

I don't really see how that qualifies as a reason to shovel taxpayer money back to the ultra wealthy while the middle and working class pay the bills.

Now you see why so many people in California and NYC are fleeing S fast as they can. The middle class are being crushed out of existence.

The US needs a strong middle class (ie non-job creators to you) to spend money to keep the economy going, not another foreign yacht for the rich.

While not being able to pay some of the highest taxes. More reason why people are leaving, can’t beat Texas, Florida and Tennessee. More growth and better living and less taxes.

And finally, as we've seen with Trump, he can use tax laws not available to regular Americans to pay zero taxes before new tax breaks even take effect.

Well, California and New York is a master of that.

We shouldn't be spending time giving him even more advantages. They have enough already.

Who are you to say who has enough money?

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Anyway, I’m happy that in 2 weeks this nonsense stops.

The U.S.-China trade Wars will not end in 2 weeks.

How many jobs are created by billionaires? Exact numbers, please.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

—Do you have evidence for the popularity of this opinion? Even most Republicans would strongly oppose cutting off all aid to Ukraine, no less all aid to any country.

Yup! The House.

That’s some pretty flimsy reasoning there.

We’ll see whether McCarthy can get his entire caucus to cut off all aid to Ukraine (as you think should and will happen). And if this unlikely scenario does come to pass, the GOP will find itself being blamed by its constituents for subjecting Ukrainians to further horrors.

I’ll bet you dollars to donuts that your fantasy football prediction is dead wrong.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Another good question would be how many billionaires would there even be without a strong middle class.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

The U.S.-China trade Wars will not end in 2 weeks.

And they absolutely will not end with this administration.

How many jobs are created by billionaires? Exact numbers, please.

Almost all and the middle class that are self-employed.

Another good question would be how many billionaires would there even be without a strong middle class.

Or then that, how many people would be billionaires if they decided to stay in school or at least decide to become entrepreneur?

Strange comment. Started by Trump, the most extensive in history which you fully supported. Continued mostly by Biden so what do you no longer support?

Almost all and the middle class that are self-employed.

So you couldn't even give a ballpark figure. Not really correct. The working population of 148 million. The largest employers are the health and education services, 35 million. The U.S. military employs 4% of the workforce. A significant majority of the American labor force is employed in the services sector. About 25 million.

How do billionaires create jobs for the middle-class self-employed? The majority of billionaires work in banking.

"Republicans will take control of the House next year and Rep. Kevin McCarthy is campaigning tor replace her (Rep. Nancy Pelosi."

Had Trump and a Republican controlled House under McCarthy's boneheaded leadership been calling the shots over the past 2 years, would they have abandoned Ukraine?

Quid pro quo, remember? It's also important to remember that if Russia does take Ukraine, then Poland will probably be next. Then it'll really cost the U.S. in terms of blood and treasure.

This money and assistance Ukraine is receiving is truly an investment. Republicans need to remember that.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

The lone Democrat to vote against the measure was Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York.

only she knew it would pass without her vote so that she can then play the victim role. Again.

House passes $1.7 trillion spending bill with Ukraine aid:

$trillion after $trillion, again & again, just to avoid a partial government shutdown & provide more aids to Kyiv.

With a worrisome lackluster economy, where does US get all these monies from?

The Mint, the American taxpayers? ...

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Just FYI to the board but almost all jobs in the US are created by small business, i.e. companies not run by billionaires. You can shift the numbers around a bit by defining what a small business is but generally speaking it doesn't dip below 80-90% even if you're stretching the definition.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

No, you just want to hear one-sided liberal talking points and nod and agree with the socialist masses, sorry to disappoint.

“Unless I’m one of those guys with saliva dribbling out of his mouth who wanders into a cafeteria with a shopping bag screaming about socialism.”

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Also, keep in mind that a lot of GOPers still believe in trickle down economics. I use the word "economics" loosely since there isn't an economics book that mentions it. The concept was invented entirely by the GOP to create tax cuts for the rich.

no mention of how small businesses benefited from Trump's tax cut, those employing less than 500 workers.

lowering pass- through rates would provide no benefit to most small businesses, 86 percent of whom already pay a tax rate of 25 percent or lower.
