A Chinese citizen whose company does business with Iran, is arrested and imprisoned in Canada, and facing being sent to USA to face an American law that carries a 30 year prison sentence?

i think American law should be translated into every language and taught in primary school. I have no flippen idea if I’m breaking any US laws. And they change all the time and very from state to state. If I listen to a rap song that has the “N” word in it can I be be extradited from japan? Or support BDS or drive on the left side of the road?

Exactly. This is all Trump's doing to strengthen the US bargaining position in the trade war he started. We finally agree on something.

Not just on trade, more importantly to contain Iran, another reason why we have to deal with the Saudis that with Israel are concerned with their constant efforts to wipe both ountries as well as the US off the map.

So is the poster you are arguing with

That’s not the point. I asked a question and still didn’t get an answer.

You think it's funny that Trump and his daughter steal jobs from Americans by manufacturing their goods in China?

No, I think it’s funny that Democrats never took China serious, ever.

But we should be fooled by the open borders, give everything away Democrats? Interesting...

This is completely irrelevant to the article and all of the posts. You just couldn't control your knee-jerk, hyperpartisan reaction. Quite telling.

As if the international community cares about Iran sanctions violations, give me a break!

Then you should be happy Meng was apprehended, I sure as heck am.

So is the poster you are arguing with, which means your hyperpartisanship blinded you to his post.

What? Oh...lol

Don't let your hatred of the orange blowhard buffoon color your judgement.

The Iran sanctions Meng violated were approved by the UN and is international law.

Huawei is one of the most corrupt companies in the world and only gained prominence after stealing all of 3Com's technology. It is time we held them accountable.

Then you should be happy Meng was apprehended, I sure as heck am.

Memo to Ivanka Trump (to her personal .com email): "The Chinese Government invites you AND your family to visit latest shoe factories, at no cost. Please come to China soonest."

What? Oh...lol

Kettle, meet pot: https://www.thedailybeast.com/beijing-is-holding-us-citizens-hostage-in-china

The total number of so-called exit bans placed on U.S. citizens in China is unknown, but at least two dozen cases have occurred within the past two years, according to one analyst’s estimate.

There is an American Mother and her 2 children held inside China right now. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/25/us/politics/china-exit-ban.html

Victor and Cynthia Liu, aged 19 and 27, and their mother, Sandra Han, are believed to have been refused permission by Beijing authorities to leave China, where they have been held since June.

But the Huawei issue isn't about holding US Citizens. It is about using convoluted banking techniques to hide equipment sales to Iran.

Additionally, China is complaining that the USA is sharing with the world how Huawei's telecom equipment has been used to provide the Chinese Govt with covert access. The solution is simple. Make telecom equipment that doesn't have back doors or phone home to China.

Bail will be revoked because she is the Black's Law Dictionary's definition of a flight risk.

This smacks of how Trump does business. Let's start hearing his supporters attempt to claim Trump wasn't aware of this. Did the Deep State do this? Was it the corrupt FBI again?
