I really feel sorry for the Hungarian police. They are just enforcing the sovereignty of its nation's border. What do you thing they should use to do the job, Mr Moon? Harsh language?

The coverage on the news looked awful. Pity for these folks and the mess that their countries are in, but can see how the Hungarians (who are not themselves a particularly wealthy country) would look at this and say they want no part of it.

Why not ? Instead of joining armed forces of Assad and throw hand grenades to ISIS murderers, they prefer to throw stones to policemen of European country. Good, new law abiding Europeans. If authorities of Germany refuse to offer them big, comfortable houses and suitable monthly fee they will throw stones again.

With this mess one would think a European coalition would defeat the regions barbarians ans send the replacements back home to where they belong and prefer to be. Amongst other Muslims. Let them chose stability or chaos among themselves.

Perhaps Mr Ban could remind us how many "migrants" South Korea has accepted? Hungary has erected a fence to protect its territory. If people leave the fence alone they will be left in peace. If they try to destroy the fence they will be repelled. It's very simple really, but evidently not simple enough for the "migrants" to understand.

Rioting, stone throwing and refusal to obey laws: these are the characteristics of the "migrants". They should be transported back to Syria, Afghanistan and wherever else they came from, but Merkel welcomes them with open arms. Good luck with that.

So you want a favor from another country and this is how you go about getting it. I completely agree with Hungary. While some just want to pass through some will stay. From what I have read many want into the EU countries because they can get free handouts off the backs of taxpayers.

It just seems odd that so many of these that are trying flee are able bodied young men. Which says a lot to many...Why should we fight for our own country when we can come to yours and get free stuff. Like many others have pointed out why not try to get into other Arab countries?

Keep letting in these refugees, Europe is committing cultural suicide. The rich Arab countries are happy to see Europe slowly become Muslim , that is their wish.

@scrote, SK granted refugee status to 98 people last year. That number does not include NK escapees, who are given automatic citizenship in SK. Not great, but not the worst record on refugees.

Love how hard the article attempts to excuse and justify violent attacks by the supposedly peaceful migrants. Oh, they're frustrated and came from a nasty area? I guess that justifies violent attacks on police and wanton disregard for the welfare of their fellow (women and children) citizens by lighting fires. Clearly people all of us should wish to welcome into our countries with open arms.

These migrants want a free ride from europe. I think that if you photograph and fingerprint every one of these migrants and put them in a camp then find them a job matching their skills then if they quit or get fired, deport them is the way to go

I say welcome those refugees with a nice european beer and a good german sausage! Moral: getting to a country is the easy part (even if this has been a nightmare for them!), assimilating is QUITE another thing! WHY GERMANY? Been there 4 times or more, married there (filipino though) and their values do NOT match any values of any muslim. I saw recently that the 50 refugees Uruguay last year now want to go home, back to a war ZONE! One reason was the prevalent christianity, and then those christian boys wanting to DATE their DAUGHTERS. Imagine! Now, I have, as an immigrant, NO problem with my sons dating Japanese girls, not too sure about what the girls may think or their parents, so, assimilation is a real problem. BUT I would find it sick if I had a problem with Japanese girls dating my sons. Also, these immigrants were shocked, shocked I tell you, that their benefits would run out after two years. They actually thought it would go on indefinitely! So,sadly this is all too much about the money instead of leaving behind old and worn-out customs and values that have left to poverty and war. Pretty soon, many, many of these refugees will be leaving germany for some other place.

US, should be accepting all the migrants from Syria, after all US want Assad out ,help the rebels and creating CHAOS all over the world are US speciality, none can do it better than the US, they created the mess they should be willing to accept those poor folks.
