The integrity of the THREE branches of government, i.e. the executive, the legislative and the JUDICIARY must be maintained if the US is to remain a democratic republic.

The independence of the judiciary, of course. They are a separate branch of the government (judicial), and the attourney general (executive branch) should not be trying to interfere with how they do their jobs.

No, courts should make their rulings based on what is law. Not the political whims of an executive branch that hates minorities.

Too bad we didn't have a quota when Trump's, Millers', and Melania's family came to the US.

As the article says, in the criminal and civil justice systems the judges operate independently and the immigration court judges do not, well this is the case in every democratic country, the immigration system is always under the government's justice or relevant ministry. Whatever the Attorney General decides to implement, they have to follow through..

There's the problem right there. We need to get rid of Jeff and get a real AG.

The judges want the ability to take whatever time is needed to hear a case. If a judge in LA can hear 2,000 cases a year, perhaps 700 isn't really that bad of a target?

It is up to the judge to set the expectations for the lawyers in her courtroom. Unprepared lawyers have no business in there. Judges can apply tremendous pressure to the lawyers to be prepared. But in the end, the judge is the king of their courtroom.

Just like not all people can do all jobs, perhaps some judges are not able to keep up with the workload?

I am so happy the liberals know that, now if they can implement that thought process and abide by that especially with what's going on with the SC they will be 2 steps ahead of the game.
