Trump is more of a vandal than a builder. It must be quite humiliating for him that one of the few powers he has left has been taken from him by his own party. A timely reminder that he is now yesterday's man.

“Weak and tired Republican ‘leadership’

I agree with Trump: the R's are weak and tired. That he was so easily defeated by the 'weak and tired' is just one more reminder he is a loser.

Trump loves superlatives, so now he can fully claim to be the biggest loser.

Oh dear! Don is now bring humiliated by his own party! I can’t wait for him to lash out in retaliation and start a war or something. His ego will need to show the world (himself) he still has power.

given Trumps well known disinterest in reading anything over a page (and that needs to be in big easy to read letters), I doubt he even knew what was in this bill apart from the obvious headline numbers

Trump's chances of running for President on the Republican ticket in 2024 are looking slimmer and slimmer. That's what you get for turning on your own team, not that Trump ever really regarded himself as being part of a team anyway.

He's a sociopath. He's not a Republican anyway, it's Trumpism that he promotes. Look at those ugly flags bearing his face and name. It's a personality cult now, a bonafide fascist party.

*I agree with Trump: the R's are weak and tired. That he was so easily defeated by the 'weak and tired' is just one more reminder he is a loser.*

*Trump loves superlatives, so now he can fully claim to be the biggest loser.*

Sassing off the mouth again, that's all Diaper Don knows how to do. Besides, it's a defense bill and he doesn't care about the 'suckers' and 'losers' who served. This ill-mannered Mussolini's time is nearly up and he knows it, and he doesn't care about anyone at all - maybe not even himself. 'Donald Trump' will soon become a euphenism for 'as rotten as one can get'.

Not surprising, something made Trump completely incoherent for a week, his advisors didn't seem to give a toss, and Trump himself didn't know how incoherent he was. Glad Washington can move on without him in this instance.

One possible reason for the President's vetoing the defense bill is an attachment to the bill: the Corporate Transparency Act, which apparently bans anonymous shell companies.

One possible consequence of the ban is making it more difficult for foreign interests to use these shell companies to hide their contributions to American election campaigns.

Another possible consequence? Making it more difficult for individuals to hide their income and profits from the IRS.

And still the President's veto of this bill was overridden by a Republican Senate. Go figure...

If Trump cared one bit for our military, he wouldn’t have vetoed the bill.

Here is what Trump thinks of the military members who died for their country. Remember Trump dodged the draft with fake injuries.

Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed

or get better leaders, NOW!

Coming soon to a White House near you, Donald!

If Trump cared one bit for our military...……

…..he might have chosen to serve instead of avoiding service with his terribly chronic and extremely painful bone spurs.  Which funny enough, ceased to bother him after he got the all clear to avoid serving.

Rubbish Limberger used the excuse of having a polonidal cyst. I had one when I was 17. Polonidal cysts are not permanent either. Big money talks, BS walks.

The only RUSH I listen to doesn't have a last name like 'Limbaugh'. I listen to that 3 man band from Toronto, Canada!

Congress actually did promise that Section 230, which so unfairly benefits Big Tech at the expense of the American people, will be reviewed and either be terminated or substantially reformed and it doesn’t seem that happened. Now I know why Congress has a 17% approval rating. Lol

Congress has overridden President Donald Trump's veto of a defense policy bill, a first by lawmakers since he took office nearly four years ago. In an extraordinary New Year's Day session, the Republican-controlled Senate easily turned aside the veto, dismissing Trump's objections to the $740 billion bill and handing him a stinging rebuke just weeks before his term ends.

Donald sure is getting to know the "sting of defeat".....good practice, just wait until he's facing those tax fraud indictments...

Trump had lashed out at GOP lawmakers on Twitter, charging earlier this week that “Weak and tired Republican ‘leadership’ will allow the bad Defense Bill to pass.″ Trump called the looming override vote a “disgraceful act of cowardice and total submission by weak people to Big Tech. Negotiate a better Bill, or get better leaders, NOW!"

And he continues his war against the Repub Party... How they wish they could go back and undo their pact with the Devil in 2016...

Getting tired of losing yet?

... another breeze to get past him.

A "breeze to get past" someone or something means that they're not a significant obstacle, e.g. it's a breeze for a top football striker to get past a bad goalkeeper. In this context that means it'll be easy for the prosecutors to get convictions, and as Trump doesn't seem to do quite so well in courts with juries that aren't stacked with obliging GOP Senators I agree.

Thanks - yes, he was impeached.

Yet he is still President and seems to think he'll have another shot in 2024. I think we pretty much have to concede that he dodged the bullet there.

Most ordinary joes did not vote for Donald Trump. He's not who the majority of Americans want as President and never has been.
