Great to hear they are still hanging in there at Mariupol. They are all hero's there.

An ongoing support for Ukraine with weapons and funds from the free world. Great to see.

No advances in the Donbas area by a bogged down Russian army is also good news.

Macron re elected in France is much better than a Putin supporter getting in.

It may be a turning point against Russia about to happen. Give the Ukraine forces what they need to go on the offensive and either push the Russians out of Ukraine or kill all that are in Ukraine territory.

Biden says U.S. will send weapons but not soldiers. U.S. military industries are happy and soldiers are happy too being safe. U.S. lost clouts.

Russian military industries are also very happy while Russian soldiers are very sad about being sent off to die. Russia has lost it's standing in the world.

Blinken? Whatever.

In other, more important Russia-related news, Europe has just waved the white flag. The EU member-states now have permission to pay for Russian oil and natural gas in rubles:

The European Commission said Friday that EU companies may be able to comply with Russia’s proposed gas payment system, without running afoul of sanctions against Moscow.

Considering that democracy no longer means democracy, and free trade no longer means free trade, there’s no reason why sanctions should actually mean sanctions.

Clown world 2022, the gift that keeps on giving.

What exactly is the objective of providing "hundreds of millions of dollars in new aid"?

Does the US expect this will be enough to enable the Ukrainians to defeat the Russians? If not, the only outcome appears to be prolonging the carnage.

What exactly is the objective of providing "hundreds of millions of dollars in new aid"?

To allow the Ukraine to continue resisting the Russian invasion and attempt to takeover Ukraine.

If that is not obvious by now to all, then some will just never understand.

Hopefully somebody will replace Putin in the very near future. Then this needless slaughter will come to an end.

Zoroto

"completed a secrecy-shrouded trip..."

Except the Ukrainian president ruined all the secrecy. What "secrecy-shrouded trip" are we talking about here?

It's secret ;-)
