"You guys are the greatest democracy in the world," Trudeau said at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. "Right now, it's not just that it's being taken for granted by so many citizens, it's actually being devalued."

Neo-libs like Trudeau and alt-right populists like Trump have a co-dependent relationship.

Inequality will rise and living standards for the majority decline under both as they support corporate interests, and they can point to other as an existential threat to democracy or family values etc.

Trudeau should take veiled and unveiled swipes at Trump as much as he likes. Trump is an enemy of democracy. The only one not taking any swipes at Trump is Vladimir Putin.

Come to NY, blame Trump for Canada's woes, go back home, well-insulated from the world, security provided by the USA.

Canada's Liberal prime minister did not refer to Trump by name but had harsh criticism for policies and practices closely identified with the former president, from isolationism to stoking voter anger.

Trudeau makes these remarks, which are quite tame, and the MAGA-faithful go ballistic...

Triggered? Overly sensitive? Scared and afraid?

Likely all three...

I'm sure they're all holding their breath wondering what truth-bombs Pence dropped to the Special Counsel's grand jury yesterday...

This is only a matter for Canadian citizens and voters.

One of my favorite Canadian journalists was Brian Wallace.

Trudeau's right.

Tuck and Fox have been known to verbally abusing Canada, but of course, any country outside the border of the USA is worth flogging for the deranged MAGA. Everyone in the world is a liberal to MAGA! (except Russia and China, of course, it's good to have a bank account in those countries according to Donald).
