I spent several hours on the internet the other day trying to find out just what the lady said, but no-one knows, or if they do they are afraid to say it.

It sounds like the straw that broke the camel’s back, a deliberate lack of respect, rather than the actual words themselves.

Later I heard it was a reference to a child bride of the Prophet, very emotive territory.

Avoid insult any religion..

Why? The ability to criticize government and ecclesiastical institutions are the very foundation of free speech. Read the blistering criticisms of organized Christianity by John Adams in his 1765 newspaper series "A Dissertation on the Canon and Feudal Law" or James Madison's speech to the Virginia Legislature in opposition to a tax to support churches, entitled "A Memorial and Remonstrance Against Religious Assessments". Adams refers to the Catholic clergy as a "wretched herd" and Madison's critique of Christianity would probably be labeled hate speech today, yet was perfectly acceptable in the Age of Reason in a nation where all things European including their kings, forms of government and their religions were freely and often harshly criticized. Many of Americas founders were Deists who openly rejected Christianity and were not shy about saying why.

Now, extremists threaten to carry out suicide bombings to defend the honor of Prophet.
