All I know is when I visited Indonesia despite its beautiful culture and friendly people corruption was an accepted way of life in part due to the example set by its political leaders. Hope things have changed since then.

"" Prabowo Subianto was inaugurated Sunday as the eighth president of the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation, completing his journey from an ex-general accused of rights abuses during the dark days of Indonesia’s military dictatorship to the presidential palace .""

It seems to me that most elected leaders these days are x military, the world is edging closer and closer toward Dictatorship and Authoritarianism, it wont be long before we see ourselves ruled by a punch of generals the results of allowing ANARCHIES in the Middle East, Africa, and South America.

"Democracy" fails again with the elevation of a monster with a murderous past to the highest office in the land. No whitewashing by the MSM can remove the bloodstained trail of this clownish sock-puppet of the military. Another tragedy-in-the-making awaits the Indonesian nation unable to shake off the fascist monkey riding on their back.

Subianto was Commander of the Indonesian Special Forces in East Timor in the early 80s. Anti-Christian, massacring hundreds. Banned from entering the US - I'm guessing he will now be allowed in.

Subianto is a despicable human being, and hopefully misfortune falls upon him and his wider circle whilst he is allowed to govern.

Call it the Modi Treatment.

Banned from entering the US - I'm guessing he will now be allowed in.

Plenty of personally scummy individuals have left a country better than they found it. When press freedom there gets as bad as Vietnam, Myanmar, or Cambodia, then I will believe democracy made a mistake.

It's easy not to make these mistakes when your country lets any mass murderer in.
