Prabowo, the perpetrator of atrocities and other human rights abuses, is the despicable product of Indonesian fascist militarism whose election would be a bitter blow to the country's floundering democracy. Since the Indonesian people are no smarter than Americans, it is not unthinkable that phony populist Prabowo could pull off a surprise win like his equally dim-witted orange role-model.
