Trump owes Obama, America, and our allies (particularly Great Britain) a full apology and retraction. Trump is a chronic liar, and he's damaging everything in his path. This must stop. Congress should rebuke him.

What - a Fox report about a Brietbart story based on the ramblings of a noted conspiracy theorist and picked up by the Twitterer-in Chief turns out to be FALSE?! Shocking!

The quote below is from a post WW2 report by the United States Office of Strategic Services (the CIA's predecessor) describing the psychological profile of a certain Austrian born man who'd once been a lance corporal in the German army. However, the description seems to be generic; it could fit any despot ever, even those today ruling countries like (fill in the blank).
From Wikipedia
'Blame an enemy for everything that goes wrong'; that current enemy seems to be the spectre that's haunting the White House, i.e. Obama. And the Trump-enistas believe it. Squirrels, shiny objects, and the ghost of Obama; distractors that keep the public from noticing what Trump and the Republicans are doing.

Trump tower is being spied on just like the rest of the world. No special treatment for Pres Trump or his hotels.
The NSA won't provide a count of how many Americans they've spied on because the number would force Congress to take action - the only action Congress could take is cutting the NSA budget. They'd rather NOT provide any data than admit they've been capturing all the signals data they can from telephony, radio, and data links for years, just not looking at it. In their mind, if they don't look at it, then capturing the data is perfectly legal.

Trump goes on about the scourge of fake news.
Trump believes fake news, and spreads said fake news.
Hilarity ensues.

"But no guys, if you are okay dismissing Obama's wiretap you have to also dismiss the Russia election tampering! Because we don't decide what's true based on a rational evaluation of facts, we decide it by every time we dismiss a conspiracy theory from the right, we have to dismiss a theory about a conspiracy from everyone else, regardless of if there is any evidence. It's called objective balance! At least that's what Vlad over on 4chan told me..."

Our elected officials have wasted enough time with this. Time to free them up to focus their energies on real issues, not temper tantrums because Trump can't stand the fact a black president is loved more than he is.

Trump is a laughing stock. He will be claiming the earth is flat next.

Don't know if there is any substance to Trump's allegations, there is a possibility that he and/or his entourage were put under surveillance (that the security apparatus is never going to admit to crimes and misdemeanors is a no-brainer ..."where the executioner's face is always well-hidden", as Dylan sings) but it was an egregious error to make public his suspicions without evidence, even if we all understand by now that Trump is a compulsive leaker. Whatever the truth, it's "Deep State" 1, Trump 0 with more grief to follow for "The Man Who Would be President". Makes me wonder if Trump was ever shown the Zapruder footage. Like a latter-day Caesar, this president is truly living dangerously.

A trash-talking clown. A man who has managed the impossible in dragging the reputation of this fine country down further than other gibbering GOP idiots who've led the US.
It took a very bright and thoughtful man like Obama to assure the world that the most powerful democracy in the world isn't always led by Taliban-lite Neanderthals, but the person charged with restoring dignity to the country after this sub-tabloid, crass, vulgar liar is gone has an immense job.

The trash talking clowns on here prove that most of them would thrive in a communist government and have no idea what leadership looks like.

"The trash talking clowns on here prove that most of them would thrive in a communist government and have no idea what leadership looks like."
Making claims without evidence based on the partisan ideas of the trash right MSM is what leadership looks like?
Frederic Bastiat
"Intelligence officials have said that Russia was behind the theft of Democratic National Committee emails last summer. The U.S. government later concluded that the Russian government directed the DNC hack in an attempt to influence the outcome of November’s presidential election."
And we've yet to be presented any evidence of that, yet many are willing to accept it immediately. Hypocrites!

Ha! Leadership?! - How's that GOP healthcare bill going? A major factor behind its impending, devastating (for the GOP) failure is that Trump is not leading. That is because he does not know what he wants - his priorities are liable to flip 180° depending on the most recent news segment he's watched. His rapid fade into irrelevance at only nine weeks into his presidency will also figure in the likely failure of Ryan's Holy Grail - tax "reform" (better known as tax cuts for the rich) - and this is actually something he wants. Too bad no one will listen to him. And his budget? - it's attracted nothing but scorn.
Tomorrow will likely see him taken down a few more notches as Congress opens hearings into both Trump's Obama spy claims (nada there, and Trump will again look foolish) and possible collaboration between Trump campaign officials and Russia (could be seismic). This will be an interesting week, with no one sure what will happen except for one relative certainty: The continuing emasculation of Trump. Sad.

It's a game. The MSM slaves can't understand that, the corporate MSM CEO's are laughing at you, as am I.

"It's a game. The MSM slaves can't understand that, the corporate MSM CEO's are laughing at you, as am I."
Trump sounds like an MSM slave. He blurts out whatever he saw on the trash right MSM Fox News. Is the CEO of Fox laughing at Trump?
The power of the crackpot conspiracy nutcase sites amuses you.
MrBum
If it's a game, Trump is undeniably playing on the same team as the MSM CEO's. He might be an unwitting participant, but the oil, Wall Street, and various CEOs he's surrounded himself with are certainly taking advantage of the focus his bogus tweets are attracting to quietly dismantle "troublesome" laws and regulations that protect ordinary people.
The CEOs are laughing at that fact that people like you actually bought Donald Trump as a man of the people. I don't laugh at you. I wish for all our sakes that you wake up. You blaming everything on the MSM sounds just as foolish as blindly believing everything they say.

Whoops! lol
When he comes to the UK I hope he's forced to apologise to our country for claiming our GCHQ wiretapped him. Idiot. He's either using these trumped up (giggle) claims as a distraction, or he's paranoid, in which case he should be removed ASAP, as the last thing the world needs is a person like that with the authority to launch America's nuclear arsenal.
Kurobune
@Northernlife - Yep, the guy is about three fries short of a Happy Meal ! Demented Donald is dangerous to say the least !
gonemad
I wonder what this very specific disclaimer means?

Trump's take:
Yeah, but this bloke on TV said that he reckoned it was the British what did the wiretapping so that definitely proves it did happen. And everyone in the government agencies supports Hillary and that's why they are saying there's no evidence, because they've shredded it. Plus, some guy at the golf club said it was all part of a plot to bring back Obama who was born in Iraq or somewhere and isn't even American and if there had been a wall between the US and Mexico he never could have entered the US in the first place.

There is an 800 kilo gorilla in the room that everyone is trying to ignore; namely, that Trump is fruit-loops crazy. Attempts at rational discourse with him, or even about him, are a waste of time, given that his grasp on reality is barely functional.

It's pretty obvious what you hope it means.

Comey just said there is no evidence supporting Trump's claim. Trump is now on an island unto himself.
We might want to start looking at what motivated Trump to libel Obama, and when we take into account his years and years of being the birther spokesperson, I think it's fair to start asking if racism is in play here.
FizzBit
Unbelievable. I'm so pissed that lefties now have their conspiracy theory radar in full operation. Of course, don't ask about the past. Hey lefties? Can you try to explian how a 26 story building free falls in less than 7 seconds without demolitions? So the gov and the corporate MSM sell you on a phony terrorist attack, sells you on phoney WMD in Iraq. Just how many times do the corporate MSM have to push the "big lie" until YOU Mr Bum wake up?
SuperLib
This is just getting weird. The head of the FBI is testifying that he believes Russia had a goal of hurting Clinton and helping Trump, and Trump is tweeting up a storm about how the Democrats ran a bad campaign and deserved to lose. He's literally live tweeting a defense for Putin at the same time Comey is accusing Putin of attacking our democracy. I've never seen anything like it.
We are quickly going to see who is going to defend America and who is a nutball.
FizzBit
He didn't say anything about your cliams. I'm watching it too, and you are lying! Like the US doesn't undermine elections around the world! Pathetic!
It's now obvious to me that the corporations are running this country and we need a revolution. As usual, only 15 % of the population care and will be involved in a revolution. Most don't care that CNN can outright lie, and the fools buy it.

Obviously I was expecting too much when I was hoping for a serious answer. Isn't it strange when a representative of the House intelligence committee makes a statement and at the same time admits or at least insinuates he doesn't have all the information required to make the statement? My first conclusion when reading this was that the House does not have sufficient power to supervise the FBI. But then who does and why does everybody rely in their political judgements on the statements from the wrong body? Or is it that the committe doesn't trust the information they got from the Justice Department and the FBI? Then why don't they call for consequences? Or is there any other better explanation? For somebody who is not from the US, this looks pretty weird.

So the truth comes out -
Nothing startling here. "Signals" are captured all the time by the NSA. That's code for "save all voice and data traffic we can, 'cause we may need it later."
