Israel now out of it's league, by its own actions.
All the nations and groups that will wage war on the apartheid state of Israel have repeatedly said, "stop the Gaza attacks, stop the genocide and we nations will not attack Israel "
Look at Saudi Arabia....before the Gaza genocide it was ready to normalise relations with Israel and participate in a multi nation transport route from India through the middle east, including Israel, and on to Europe.
That multi billion dollar opportunity for Israel is dead and gone forever.
Leaving aside the war threats Israel issues, this is a country whose various economic sectors are tanking.
Who would want to invest in Israel ?
What company would dare set up manufacturing on the occupied territories. ?
Israel's own leader are facing war crimes before the UN.
How goes the tourism sector...small business closures exceed 45000 in a period of months....areas near Lebanon are now deserted...100,000 Israelis' plus not working because of displacement or compulsory IDF service.
This is a situation that cannot stand.

Yeah Tony, Palestinians are being murdered by American bombs, dropped by American planes, flown by America-trained pilots, many with with American passports, deliberately targeting civilians. It's your genocide.
After the failure of the Rules-based Reich's attempted colour revolutions in Georgia and Venezuela recently, it appears Mongolia is next in the firing line. Victoria Nuland was there in April last year, too. Wherever these people go, death and destruction isn't far behind.

always trying to clean up Netanyahu’s mess or approving his war crimes?
The sooner the arrest warrants are issued and executed the better!

“Do they expect that Hajj Ismail Haniyeh will be killed in Iran and Iran will remain silent?” he said of the Israelis. Addressing Israelis who celebrated the two killings, he said, “Laugh a bit and you will cry a lot.”
Heard this rant before.

Is there any doubt now, that Israel maybe both Government and people, have chosen to settle this conflict seemingly without end with total all out war until one will either capitulate totally or be eradicate the other.

The whole Middle East is still stuck in the old testament.

The 'Gaza war' didn't 'start in October', the Israeli regime's war on Palestinians started decades ago.
The Palestinian military responded to the Israeli regime's campaign of murdering and kidnapping civilians, rape, and torture on October 7th by attacking the Israeli regime's militants in the base they used to plan and launch the murdering and kidnapping of civilians, and the Israeli regime then started indiscriminately attacking Gaza and the 'Israeli controlled' territory between the base and Gaza, and then proceeded to escalate into what the ICJ confirmed looked, and sounded like, a campaign of Genocide.
The Israeli decision to murder the diplomat that was trying to find a nonmilitary end of that campaign removes any question of whether the Israeli regime and its supporters are actually trying to do the same thing, rather than trying to carry out as much of that campaign as possible.
Which makes whatever response Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and anyone else makes not an 'escalation of the Gaza war' but the beginning of an international effort to stop a genocide.
burgers and beers
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said “all parties” in the Middle East must avoid escalatory actions that could plunge the region into further conflict.
Well, obviously Israel doesn't give a damn about what Blinken says.

The fact is that Israel has carried out several assassinations in Iran. Fouad Shukur is not the first to be murdered by the Israeli government.
Unfortunately, it is almost certain that Israelis will be targeted from now.
Sanjinosebleed
He should have said that to Netanyahu before he approved the assassination!
RichardPearce
If murdering the guy you're supposed to be working out a truce deal with, while he's being hosted as an official guest by the least war wanting country in the region (and maybe the world) doesn't count as escalating all the way possible in Blinken's view, nothing Netanyahu orders could.
The response CANNOT be escalatory, because the Israeli regime's already started both a genocide and a war with all the democracies in the region. Was Britain going to war with Germany 'escalatory', or the only reasonable course of action after every attempt at diplomacy had been spat upon?

Yes, that’s right. This IS a “New Phase”, it shows that you DIRECTLY are going to pay a price for the terrorism you promote the world over.
So get READY for it.
This is just the beginning.

Heard an interesting comment by an Israeli Jewish analysist along the lines of "Israel doesnt have an overarching big plan, but it has fragmented all its problems and intercountry relations into small pieces where assassinations and the like seem like a strategy , but are just inflaming small players into larger wild fires. "
Addditional points were the EU has had its full of Israel, the ICJ rulings on the occupied territories being a final nail in the coffin and China, the world's second biggest economy has sided with the Palestinians.
In Israel itself, the rule of law is breaking down such that Knesset members are saying its OK to rape uncharged detainees with metal rods, and crowds of Israelis' try to prevent Military Police arresting those soldiers and guards involved.
Israel is rotting from within.

It's rather strange how these different groups make statements like: The War Has Entered A New Phase!
Is there really such a thing when two opposing sides are constantly trying to obliterate each other? IMO, these leaders (whether ISIS, Hezbollah, Hamas, AQ, etc.) are fair game considering their personal histories as terrorists.
Toblerone
Be careful what you wish for, Hezbollah.
starpunk
'Iran's Supreme Leader Prays Over the Coffin of Hamas Leader'.
'Prays', huh?
There is absolutely nothing 'Muslim' or any kind of religious about the Hamas fanatical terrorist thugs or the Iranian fanatical totalitarian regime.
Allah is pissed off about all these horrible things done in his name.

Was Britain going to war with Germany 'escalatory', or the only reasonable course of action after every attempt at diplomacy had been spat upon?
Do some real research. You will be surprised.

Has the Israeli leadership/ military completely lost its mind?
Looks that way. Imploding.

Tristis above...you do overestimate Israels capacities in warfare...Israel cannot defeat an urban militia in Gaza ...the Hamas resistance and associated groups fighting zionist occupation.
Israelis losing by whatever parameters you use ....'IDF hiding real figures of deaths and casualties
Numbers in the tens of thousands.
Israel not winning the "quick wars "they usually fight.
Getting an ass whooping more like it

Brilliant work by Israel, in keeping the pressure on these Islamic terrorists leaders wherever they are.
Look at the numbers.

Israel assassinated the Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, with who they were negotiating a peace deal and who supported a peace deal.
The end of negotiations.
