This is not good. Yes, the US could "spank" Iran militarily, but some of our soldiers, sailors, and airpeople would suffer greatly.

War is coming. Sooner or later, but it's coming.

War is coming.

If it does, it will once again be for the primary benefit of the global .01% (which include those from all around the world, particularly those from the 3 major empires currently vying for supremacy and their backers), their big oil/gas corporations, their big war industries, and of course their 'financiers'.

Chip

Like we 'spanked' Iraq?

Like we 'spanked' Iraq?

Iraq has been largely successful for the global oil corporations (look at the different countries whose oil/gas corporations are in business there now), the global big war industries (look at the different countries whose big war corporations have sold weapons there), and of course their 'financiers'.

The global .01% have profited financially from the US invasion.

At the expense of the Iraqi people and those in neighboring states.

Not surprised, American soldiers aren't bad people, but they are put in situations that end up defining them as terrorists...The real terrorists are the people that pull the strings from above.

Chip, it is true that the US outspends Iran on military matters to such a degree that during the time it takes to read the article, the US will have spent more money on its military than Iran will this entire year.

But it is doubtful that the US could 'spank' Iran militarily, especially in the Persian Gulf region. Remember, the US has problems shaking enough military power out of its enormous expenditures to keep a handle on a few thousand guys who have to either buy every bullet, or hand make them, and aren't exactly popular with their countrymen.

Now, think how badly they'd fare trying to go up against a nation that can mobilize millions within days, mass produce not just bullets but cruise missiles and air defence missiles aimed by stealth penetrating radar, and (unlike the missiles etc the US would be using) practically everything the Iranians would be firing will be current generation from the start, and the upgraded versions (as in tweaked, redesigned, or even designed from the ground up to exploit any vulnerabilities in the American systems, and/or to eliminate any vulnerabilities in the Iranian systems) rolled out on the firing lines almost daily.

I'm sure most Americans (and likely almost everyone in the American military command structure) thinks that they could 'spank' the Iranians militarily, just like the Germans (civilian and military command) thought they could spank the French in WW1.

What do you do if you live in occupied japan whose govt is a puppet US state, but actually believe the war crimes committed by USA is far worse than those of Iran? If I’m called up, can I choose a side?
