Charlie Hebdo, which has published similarly offensive cartoons about dead child migrants, virus victims, neo-Nazis, popes, Jewish leaders and other public figures, presents itself as an advocate for democracy and free expression.

During the 2021 Covid wave in India in which Indians were dying left, right and centre, Charlie Hebdo published a cartoon mocking the plethora of Hindu gods who failed to come to the help of their devotees.

However, there were no threats, no calls to arms and not even a protest from the Hindu nationalist government in power in India.

The magazine has a long history of publishing vulgar cartoons mocking Islamists, which critics say are deeply insulting to Muslims.

Maybe if one particular community lightens up and quits taking offense at perceived slights and insults, Charlie Hebdo will stop seeing the point of 'insulting' them.

HUSTLER magazine by the late Larry Flint is a no-holds-barred take-no-prisoners ultra-offensive 1000% sick superrporn mag that goes out its way to offend anyone they can. Most people don't make too much of a fuss. Those who buy and read it will clearly show those around them what disgusting sick-o's they are. If you don't raise a stench, they don't get the spotlight they crave.

Iran's regime is a bunch of hypocrites. A young Iranian lady chess champ defected to Spain yesterday. The foundation is crumbling.

"Hopefully the French ambassador tells the Iranians that they don't have the right to dictate"

Especially not a fascist state that is murdering its own citizens. Screw Iran and their bunghole of a dear leader.

The sad thing for her is that she and her family who fled to Spain with her are going to have to be looking over their shoulders the rest of their lives, or until the mullahs are run out of Iran, fearing an Iranian assassination squad attacking her and her family.

Look, any country would probably summon the French ambassador if their own head of state was ridiculed with gross or disgusting comics, as this French magazine likes to do. Most countries have some kind of laws against ridicule of their supreme leaders (compare Thailand's, for example), so it's incomprehensible that someone outside the reach of their penal code can do it with impunity. But along those lines, since this is Iran, and since the French ambassador does have an embassy in Tehran that can be stormed by so-called student activists, perhaps there is a veiled threat here that Mr. Macron's government should evaluate.

Twaddle.

Ridiculing heads of state is our divine right in free and democratic countries. We don't care about the sensibilities of the Iranian terror state nor soon to be deposed despot.

No, they would summon the nearest representative of the private business

Nobody summons an US ambassador every time Hollywood misrepresents their head-of-state/religion/people/etc.

Nobody summons a Japanese ambassador every time manga disrespects anything under the sun

This completely exemplifies why Iran , should in no way be entrusted with Nuclear Weapon technology.

Iran certainly feel they have the right to call the US "the Great False Idol" and "Great Satan," in their foreign policy statements. I would also call Rouhani out for accusing Donald Trump of "mental retardation," but Trump threatened to "obliterate" them in response. Plus, he did have a point.

And trashTrump's response shows once again how undiplomatic and immature he is. Rouhani is using the wrong terminology by calling trump 'mentally retarded', that's a childish insult to the ones who truly are developmentally disabled. But Treasontrump's sassymouth threat to 'obliterate' Iran only highlights once again his uncouth bullying sociopathicity and total lack of maturity, wisdom, diplomacy and class.
