Here we go AGAIN; BUT, these skums DID need to be disposed of.

Matthew. You are aware of the difference between convicted and guilty, aren't you?

"The move appeared to end any hopes that the appearance of a common enemy in the form of the Islamic State militant force would produce some rapprochement between the region’s leading Sunni and Shiite Muslim powers, who back opposing sides in wars currently raging in Syria and Yemen."

What a mess. Muslims vs Muslims.

"Common enemy"??? That is ridiculous ignorance by the article writer right there. The Islamic State represents pure Sunni islam, as fundamentalist as it gets. That is why ISIS is receiving aid from Saudi, Qatar, and Turkey.

There is no "common enemy" here... the Shiites are the enemy of ISIS, and not the Sunnis. The only "common enemy" of both radical Sunnis and radical Shiites is... us. Including the article writer. #

Iran has a habit of not protecting embassies.

They did it to the British embassy too.

Willi,

The Islamic State represents pure Sunni islam, as fundamentalist as it gets. That is why ISIS is receiving aid from Saudi, Qatar, and Turkey

That's not really the truth though is it? The odd fundie wanabee originating from the Gulf States might have taken a few million dollars in a suitcase or two a couple of years ago, but the claim any of these states themselves are physically funding Daesh is Tin-Foil Hat territory.

We can thank the P5+1 for hanging in their and cinching the nuclear deal in Iran. A nuclear arms race between these two countries of differences in their fairy god book could be the end of us all.

Here we go AGAIN; BUT, these skums DID need to be disposed of.

EXACTLY!! Divide n' conquer. With all those unfrozen assets the mullahs got in their pockets, they can fund their own war against the Saudis.

Heh- Maybe that stupid "DEAL" obama/kerry doctored up aint' so bad after all. Also- hands off Isreal. They're an "established" State!

Madverts:

" hat's not really the truth though is it? "

Alas, that is absolutely the truth. Maybe you remember this little-known radical Sunni activist called Osama Bin Ladin? He was a Saudi too, from one of the wealthiest families in the Kingdom (which he was part of). Were you unaware of that, too?

Sigh.I'll cut to the chase and be prosaic. Cockroaches killing cockroaches. Iran's website has a point. What is the difference between IS and Saudi Arabia? I also find it hilarious that the US state department calls on the Saudi regime to ''respect and protect human rights.'' I didn't realize it was April first.

lolozo79:

" What is the difference between IS and Saudi Arabia? "

Only the question who is the ruler... the self-declared Caliph ir Raqqa, or the Saudi King? That is why this is a balancing act for the Saudi government. On one hand, they help their ideological ally ISIS to overthrow the hated Alevite Assad; on the other hand, they don´t want ISIS to actually replace them too. Ideologically, there is no difference between the two; ISIS represents purest Saudi Wahabism.

Thanks WilliB. My question was rhetorical.

lolozo:

Sorry. Alas there are many who are still ignorant about the various ideologies involved.

Heh- the obama administration seems to be more in bed with with the mullahs of iran. In a different era, the republicans were helping the iraqis fight the iranians. And WAY before that, the USA was allied with China vs Japan.

. . . . Politics=Power.

. . . . Da-da, da,da,daaa- I'm lovin' it.

Wc:

" Heh- the obama administration seems to be more in bed with with the mullahs of iran. "

No, they are in bed with both, which is so absolutely absurd. Did you miss Obamas consistent support for the Sunni jihadis in Libya, Tunesia, Egypt, and now Syria? And at the same time he is heloing the Sunnis, he is also helping Iran with the lifting of the sanctions and clearing the way for the Iranian bomb. If you believe in some evil genius master plan here, it is up to you, but to me it looks like mind-boggling stupidity.

If you take the Saudi out the entire region is at peace.

This is a good opportunity to blow each others oil fields to bits. Even though both Iran and the Saudis are keeping prices low to put American producers out of business it doesn't hurt they are bankrupting themselves in the process.

Shouldn't be hard to prove then willi. Show us your sources that prove the Gulf States are officially sponsoring Deash.

Otherwise, it's Tin-Foil Hat-land.

Madverts:

" the Gulf States are officially sponsoring "

Not "officially" of course. But check their priorities: They want Assad removed, and replaced by a Sunni regime. That is a fact, not tinfoil hat. The tinfoil hat belongs to those who believe in the "vetted rebels", who fight against Assad in order to replace him with a modern democracy. Wear it if it fits.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

The bulk of ISIS funding is probably coming from the oil fields of what were once Syria and Iraq smuggled through Turkey but I'm sure there are wealthy donors in Qatar and Saudi Arabia etc as well.

Iran reacts with fury

"And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers."

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Willi,

So you admit that you've spouting as fact for years now something that you cannot prove? Again?

It's Tin-Foil hat stuff mate.

This is why we never need fear a "Caliphate" that will swallow the world, as some want us to be afraid of. They can't stop hating and killing themselves for 12 minutes.
