So the US wants to call a meeting to discuss a treaty that the US itself pulled out of ???????

That Trump pulled out of.

The Democrats and some Republicans didn't.

It's a tangled web indeed, one that must befuddle some GoTrumpers (US and 'foreign') who probably aren't sure which side to choose. Do they stick with their man Trump? Stick with Putin? Further flummoxing is questioning whether Trump and Putin are stuck together.

Or is this just political theater that puts millions at risk so some faction of the globe's .01% can gain greater control over oil and gas.

What bass is saying is that he has no idea what Trump is doing, either. Is he trying to start a war? Is he pushing for some crazy agreement where the US gets to inspect any Iranian facility at anytime forever?

As if the Democrats have a better ideas, they wouldn’t even lift a finger for Crimea.

As if The Great Orange Poodle has done anything in two and a half years. Wonder how many times Crimea has come up during Donnie's talks with Putin? Oh, that's right, they're weren't any US interpreters/note-takers in the room. Curious, isn't it....

And all they did was yuck it up at last months G20 conference. Donnie's and Vlad's bromance...

With his Russian asset Trump in office, I'm surprised Putin hasn't invaded the rest of the old Soviet Republics...

Is Trump stupid, evil or being controlled? I really can't choose.

they wouldn’t even lift a finger for Crimea.

Crimea is ethnic Russian majority and so is the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine. The majority of those places wants to be Russian. Scotland got a vote to leave the U.K. and Quebec got two votes to leave Canada. They stayed, but Crimeans voted to leave Ukraine. But it does not look like Ukraine is going to let the rest go. Why should the U.S. get involved? That would be like Russia stepping into America's Civil war in 1861. Its not American business.

But America does get involved very often anyway...which is why Iran is pursuing nukes.

Trump has no idea what he's doing. There's no endgame here.

This is theater - Donnie did some underhanded deal with Putin and the Mullahs. Pull out of the Iran deal so tensions and the chances of a war will increase. Russia gets higher oil prices to offset sanctions and the US is tied down in another Middle East quagmire. Russia wins X 2.

The Mullahs get to act tough standing up to America, consolidate their power, and reduce the influence of the moderates who want peace. They also get increased monetary and diplomatic support from Russia. Iran wins X 2.

The US gets sucked into a third Middle east war, Russia gets to stand back and act like the big player on the world stage and peacemaker. The US loses X 2.

Welcome to the world of Trump foreign policy. Does anyone now think his staff was joking when they said he was a "danger to the Republic"?
