So Iran wants to be an underdog?? They want to play hard ball?? Even China and Russia don't trust Teheran!! Only stupid North Korea maybe idiotic enough to try and sell them missiles etc..

“Any additional sanctions against Iran would be perceived by the international community as an instrument for regime change in Tehran,” deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov told the Interfax news agency, adding that Russia “does not intend to consider such proposals.”

Maybe it's time for other countries to stop sitting on their asses because they're afraid to criticize a Middle Eastern state. Everyone and his brother is against Iran getting nukes. The surrounding Arab states should be the ones leading the charge but like everything else they just sit back and let the West do the dirty deeds while they agree stay silent to placate the masses.

They have every right to do what they want. If Iran told America to dismantle all of its nukes, as they are a threat to world peace, would the US do it?

Sorry but the USA is like big daddy in this world, we got the nukes, ships, jet fighters etc..to kind of make sure this new world order does not go the way of Somalia etc..so if every Tom, Dick and Harry on this planet who wants nukes got them?? OMG!! If you think our world is messed up, just wait till every Osama, Mohamed and Hussein go showing off their new toys to terrorize this world, and yes as SuperLib says, even the ARABS do not trust our friends over in Teheran.

If Iran says they are not developing nukes, then fine.

If they are, then they are now in process of being proved liars, and it's all on record.

Which is it?

The world is watching.

"then they are now in process of being proved liars, and it's all on record."

The problem is that this process means we have to wait and see. For years the evidence has mounted against the Iranian regime, recently the evidence would seem damning.

I'll go a step further from Super's post and say it's time for the West to insist Russians also to pick a side. Sanity or lunacy being the choice.

"The surrounding Arab states should be the ones leading the charge but like everything else they just sit back and let the West do the dirty deeds while they agree stay silent to placate the masses."

Complex situation I agree Superlib. Placating the masses is the problem because those that haven't joined the Arab Spring would like to. Only they are friendly dictatorships to the West, so we placate them in order for the oil to flow freely. A real mess I agree. I only have one position now on Iran's nuclear program....

Take it out.

The risks are high, but by the time they achieve the bomb, it's too late. Maybe we could make some of these oil kingdoms that are depserate for the West to be proactive, pay entirely for any military action or provide lucrative deals. Heh, for once we could shaft them as they've been shafting us for years by the barrel, with the added bonus of Ahmedinajad's head on a pike and the potential for the democratic revolution the Iranians are desperate for.

“But it builds something you can’t respond to: Ethics, decency, monotheism and justice.”

Don't forget 'killing any domestic opposition or demonstration of dissatisfaction'!

Iran wants nukes then isreal or the US should give em ONE ! Then see if they still want more.

Madverts: Take it out.

From what I've read military strike wouldn't work since the facilities are so well buried. All it would do is delay the inevitable and in the process it would tie the Arab leaders' hands in terms of what kind of opposition they could mount against Tehran.

In the end we might have to let it play out in order to build a coalition. Without the threat of Iran looking them right in the face I'm afraid things will play out the way they usually do....the West is Bad and the Arabs/Persians are victims. The wild card will be whether Israel will go along with it or not.
