Iran, shut up!!! If we wish to attack your nuclear facilities or the rest of your country for that matter, then you are powerless to prevent us.

Be quiet little man.

When America fights it fight until victorious, Iran is a weakling, we can destroy it in weeks, like Iraq. Don't mess with the US buddy, it mau be nuke time, comprendo?

Our position:

"Both the United States and its ally Israel say they support a diplomatic solution to the nuclear standoff with Iran but cannot rule out the military option."

Their position:

"Israel should be eliminated from the universe"

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There's no way American military can fight in Iran. The public alone will have none of this nonsense, not after the debacle in Iraq (and soon Afghanistan if things don't shape up).

Iran can call anyone's bluff now.

Thanks George.

SuperLib,

Those positions are neither ours nor theirs--in our case, syntactically, in their case, factually. But thanks for getting in there to stir the pot.

rjd jr:

" There's no way American military can fight in Iran. "

Strawman. American military fighting in Iran has never been the issue. Nobody has ever suggested that. The question is if Ahmedinejad will be allowed to assemble Allah`s bomb, or if someone takes out his nuclear facilities so the bomb project will at least be delayed for a number of years.

This would involve blowing up a number of nuke facilities from the air. Not "military fighting in Iran".

0 ( +0 / -0 )

WilliB,

I don't think that is the question. I think the question is more nearly one of how the world can achieve nuclear sanity. Even with respect to Iran I think the question is more nearly one of how Iran can use nuclear technology in ways which are acceptable to both Iran and its critics.

Play ball Iran or it's bomb bomb bomb time. Hahahaha.

iran is defenceless against our superior weaponary. Don't warn us or Israel Iran, you amy pay the price sooner rather than later.

“Israel should be eliminated from the universe”

This was displayed in plain English as well as Farsi. Are some of you still going to maintain that Ahmadinejad (as a representative of the nation of Iran) was only speaking figuratively when he said that Israel should be wiped off the map, history, etc? Am I supposed to see this banner and not take it literally?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

USNinJapan2,

Yes. You are not supposed to take that literally unless you will be kind enough to actually take it literally.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I would say if Iran ever comes tothe point of Nuclear capability,, There would be many ready to press the botton to inialate the country of Iran and they would deserve it!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The leaders of Iran are like insects needing smashed. What ever come about the president of Iran being thought to be one of the hostage takers bake during Carter;s time. I remember when he first got president there was a picture highlighting one of the guys on the plane that could have been him.. Anyone remeber that?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

All I can say is this.....

Can you Blame Israel when they attack them???

0 ( +0 / -0 )

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is aware of plans made by the US and Israel to launch an attack on Iran. CIA operatives working in Iran to prepare for the launch of the attack have been captured. They have been broken and have confess that they are part of a US and Israel plan to invade Iran. Knowing this President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad realize he has to prepare the Iranian military for war with the US and Iran. Iran will now make the first move to attack not because it wants a war but because it has to protect itself and it's people from the US and Israel.

Dude pass that bowl.... cause you must be high

Nippon5,

If Israel attacks Iran, yes, I can blame them. I take it that your statement indicates that you can't.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

SezWho2 I dont want Israel to attack, but when they attack and you know they will, they will say "we had to defend ourselves from those who planned to attack us, planned to destroy us, and planned to wipe us off the map"

American president GWB gave them the speech for that day already when we invaded Iraq.

I cant blame them for feeling they need to act before they are attacked without cause...

To have a person stand next to you everyday saying Im going to kill you will make you react to him in a non positive way..

Its human nature (animal nature as well) to protect ones life at all cost..

Does Israel feel they are cornered by an aggresor? What happens when you corner a wild animal??

Hard to blame them for attacking a country that has been telling them they are going to kill them for years....

I know it doesnt make it right but I understand the reason they feel that they need to keep Iran off nuclear weapons.

But if you think they have no right to react to the threats made to them from another country, then thats what you believe..

And it doesnt make your point right and mine wrong or visversa...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

An Israeli attack against Iran is inevitable. Just a question of when.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

John McCain want to bomb Iran so bad that he mentioned it in the "60 Minutes" interview. I can see that he will attempt to attack Iran if he possibly can. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nippon5,

I definitely think that Israel has a right to react. However, if they react by attacking, I'm still likely to blame them.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

SezWho2 I guess thats the main difference in people on this issue. I agree attacking is not a great option, but history has shown us Iran doesnt do talks well with Israel...

We can only hope Iran listens to the world and takes the steps to get Nuclear power without the ability to make weapons from it. Or Israel can keep taking the abuse and not snap into action against them...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Iran has been attempting to make nuclear power and not nuclear weapons for several years and the bush administration and John McCain have been passing along lies and inuendos that they are building nukes with out proof.

It also pisses off the administration that Russia has been working with Iran to build the nuclear power plants. (Bad Russia)

If John McCain gets elected he'll find a way to attack Iran like george bush attacked Iraq. Based on lies. < :-)

When America fights it fight until victorious, Iran is a weakling, we can destroy it in weeks, like Iraq.

The whole post spoken like a true chickenhawk. And actually coming out and admitting we destroyed Iraq. Tut-tut.

Iran, shut up!!!

How about Israel shut up? Or you? Israel was talking about bombing Iran. The talk was clear. Iran responded. Its a war of words. Let it go. And stop embarrassing me and my country by acting like destroying Iraq was a deed remotely worth being proud of. It was a total embarrassment, and the failure of Americans like you to see what a mistake it was only adds to the shame. For pity's sake, learn a lesson. We do not need to do the same thing with Iran. We have no proof that are now making or even have the intention of building a nuclear bomb. And if they ever do, how do you think they are going to get it to the U.S. or Israel? Donkey cart?

So sit down and take a pill. We will be on top of them the second a test takes place. Until then they are in check, so let them talk.

And here is a fun history lesson: When the Russians tried to give Cuba nukes, the U.S. when nutz. Why? Because Cuba is right next door, that's why.

Now pull out a map and note the positions of Iran, India and Pakistan. Two of those countries have nukes, and one does not. And the one that does not is obviously on the short end of the stick. They might be a little worried and panicky. And as if that is not enough, note the position of Iraq and Afghanistan in relation to Iran. American has troops in both those counties, and we are not exactly a little hostile to Iran. Then you got Israel yelling "Hey batter, hey batter, hey batter, SWING!" from the peanut gallery.

We should all just thank our lucky stars the Persians are as patient as they are, because if it was full of hostile Americans like yourself, the world would be in the middle of WWIII by now.

Israel should be eliminated from the universe

And obama doesn't consider Iran "a threat."

Just one more reason why he'll never be U.S. president.

RR

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Pssst, yes he will. Obama will be the next president of the United States of America.

Ah-h-h-h, that is a change I can live with. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

SwiftBoatVet - That sounds like prejudgeous coming through.

You're not scared of a black man are you?

You afraid he'll have you cooking chitlings and ham hocks on New Years Day?

Why should a highly educated Harvard graduate resign now, when someone who was 5 places above the bottom of his 800+ academy class?

If you're going to mention idiots, got to mention McCain. He's the one who doesn't understand economics. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I forgot in my earlier post.

But I shouldn't forget to mention that John McCain would have bombed Iran already on the lies and deceptions that the george bush administration has put forth. george bush already had Iran building nukes and even having produced nukes. When the NIE came out and said to the contrary. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

SwiftBoatVet- I enjoy your style, very good.

If Germany had the courage to become strong again, we could assist America in destroying these terror threats.

Iran must have regime changes. I believe Britain, Germany and America should increase military strength and deter these rogue nation.

We can be triangle of good power to make world into better image.

McCain and Palin will attack any threat , they are good, strength is the key to success, we learnt that in my country in our past.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

SwiftBoatVet - We ain't buddies in the farthest of terms.

Believe what you want.

McCain is a bomb just waiting to explode. Just looking where he can have a war. Remember he's knows how to win wars.

But for 5 years he was in lockstep with george bush and stay the course. But he knows how to win wars.

If he had known how to win wars, where was he those 5 years? The commanders were begging for more troops for 5 years and John McCain stood right there beside george bush saying to stay the course.

The commanders were telling even the media that they needed more troops and John McCain stayed right there with george bush.

Then after 5 years of begging for troops, John McCain falls lockstep with the surge when the stay the course was failing dismelly. And he's the man who won, so you republicans want to crow.

I think if John McCain had known how to win the george bush Memorial War in Iraq and kept his mouth shut, he's not so great a leader.

Then we have Iran. John McCain is going to attack iran. He's going to look for the lies needed to scare the unknowing. He'll build fabrications like george bush to attack Iraq.

John McCain will swing those little fists repeating george bush's lies on Iran. He'll swing those little fists telling you about how they are developing nukes.

Trust John McCain to be the next president? Not likely. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

adaydream- You are totally off base buddy.

What was wrong with being with George BUsh. Bush`s plicies were correct, he saved us from attack from Iraq and liberated the nation. I cannot fathom how anyone can think that is wrong.

McCain as a war hero, a world reknown diplomat. Whenb he decides to attack Iran the world will understand that he made his decision with a wise head and support us.

If Obama won, he would appease Iran , a nuclear war would happen between Iran and Israel, WWIII would start and result in hundreds of millions of deaths.

Still want to vote for Obama?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

daydream: John McCain is going to attack iran

But you already told us that Bush was going to attack Iran. When's that supposed to happen, by the way?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

RomeoRamenll- Great post. truth hurts the Dems. Hee Hee!

Iran watch out McCain has plans for you!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

SwiftBoatVet - Like I said if John McCain he had known how to win wars, where was he those 5 years? The commanders were begging for more troops for 5 years and John McCain stood right there beside george bush saying to stay the course.

Then I hear all these republicans that would start a war with Iran at the drop of a hat.

By the way, where are all these troops we'd use? They're all in wars. You going to clone an Army? Germany isn't going into Iran. And after Iraq, don't bet on Britain.

I'll vote for Obama. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

george bush's lies were feltched out by the NIE. george bush was caught in lies again. That along with no troops to send to Iran stopped his plan to go into Iran.

Except for the republican posters here, george bush is seen as a bold faced liar. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

When Barack Obama gets elected president, you will agree and follow his lead because you're one of those who believe that they should not disagree with the president.

Be ready for Obama. And follow him like your say. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

adaydream- don't you understand buddy? Obama will not be allowed to be president, remember Gore? We cannot allow in a guy against the intersts of America. Iran will be attacked in March next year, when the weather is suitable for a liberation. Iran will be nuke free and unable to support Taliban and Iraqi insurgents.

Here's how electoral vote will turn out for obama on Nov. 4th

http://ace.mu.nu/archives/273762.php"

RR

0 ( +0 / -0 )

SwiftBoatVet - But just for the sake of conversation, if Barack Obama was elected president, even by 1 electorial vote, you'll be a follower, because you wouldn't speak out against the president? That's what you're saying?

That's your stand? You said it. Not me. I believe in speaking against lies and injustice. But you'll follow Barack if he's elected president and not cmplain against him?

I won't agree with that statement. I believe in freedom of speach. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm not the one who said they'd leave SwiftBoatVet.

You did. I hope you keep your promise.

I would like to get that promise upgraded to revoking of citizenship. This guy and others are making a complete mockery of my country. They are so twisted I am beginning to think everything they say about themselves is one big lie, including their citizenship, cooked up to either get Obama in the White House or to thoroughly embarrass the U.S.A. I have not seen individuals this determined for war or actually gleeful about its prospects since the Nazi's.

SwiftBoat might leave the U.S.A. if the White House goes Democrat? I have one more reason to pray for an Obama victory.

--Cirroc

0 ( +0 / -0 )

cavemanLawyer; Keep praying. The chances of an Obama victory are very slim.

The problem for Obama is the fact that many Americans will not vote for a black man. That shouldn't be the case, but that is the way people are.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Bombgroup:

" The problem for Obama is the fact that many Americans will not vote for a black man. "

No, the problem for Obama is that the Messiah image has worn off and some people start to ask what substance there is behind the dazzling rethoric. The "black" thing only works in his favor, since any kind of criticism is immediately dismissed as racism. Quite convenient.

Still, it is a pretty safe bet that the democrats will win the pres. election and then have all 3 houses of government. Paradise awaits, or not?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Alot of opinionated people here. So I guess I will throw in a bit.. If the people of Iran vote in some radical as president, what ever happens to Iran and its people are of their own fault. If it is taking out Iran by force , it is the Iranian people that has asked for it and as for nuclear armed Iran, no way should it happen even if it means to take them out by force. We can send missiles in , bunker busters, the new advanced ones. what will Iran do? Test our defensive missile systems in the area??? That is all they can do. We would be doing nothing on ground in Iran , just annihilating their nuclear facilities and taking out their missiles they will try and launch against who ever... I would say Americans in Iraq and Israel and both should be pretty well prepared to take out Iran’s missiles

Iran another outreach of China and Russia…it is time we do something about all of these nations that are against our own values and stop making them so rich and powerful and that is all we have done over the last 20 years with China and maybe 6 years with Russia These are the countries that have emboldened Iran and at the same time we support them. We do have one screwed up government and as well , screwed up allies that are doing the same. All because one thinks the other may get a bigger piece of the pie and at the same time putting everyone at risk .

And all this about who is holding our debt BS is just that. Those holding our debt would not even be in a position to do so if it was not for the basics of us enabling them to do so by opening up markets to them and investments of our greedy corporations and politicians in the past and of today as it is still going on. We have brought all of this on ourselves by engaging and supporting rogue regimes and that is in direct context as in describing communist China and Mr. KGB Putin as these two are supporting Iran, N. Korea
