Iran will act decisively after biggest protests in years, president says

Here let me fix that

"Iran will act in a way that confirms autocratic dictators are despicable losers in response to massive protests prompted by Mahsa Amini death, president says"

Another lesson teaching there is no place for religion in government.

The old men leaders in Iran are out of touch with the younger generation. That's what these protests/riots are showing. As long as Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is in power and has to approve candidates for public office, this will be a problem.

The people of Iran deserve better than the Ayatollahs. When the Shah was overthrown I don't think they imagined that when a little known Ayatollah arrived from exile in France that things would turn out how they did. That first month I remember everyone outside of Iran kind of saying, "ok, when do the serious people step up and start running an effective government, never imagining what they were seeing was the government that would rule Iran.

Iranian-Americans and others marching in solidarity in Washington, DC with the protestors in Iran.

Nor should there be a place for totalitarian regimes, especially ones partnered with other totalitarian regimes.

I hear that “this time is different.”

Sad experience has taught me to wait and see.

One can certainly hope, but I think the IRG has too good a grift going to give it up without a civil war.

Let's remember that the MKO cult has a presence in Iraq and the US, and the protesters have been targeting banks and ATMs.

Let's also remember that the bullhorn about these protests was set at 11, and the US has turned it up to 12.

I'm old enough to remember the 'protests' against the reelection of Ahmadinejad, which were less peaceful than the protests about the election of Biden, though that was well hidden, and massively unpopular, though that was well hidden, and he was a PROGRESSIVE, so excuse me if I'm somewhat skeptical about what is being reported by the American based media.

He'll act like the old Shah

The more things change, the more things stay the same
