Ah, celebrating the complete violation of diplomatic protocol as usual I see.

"There's no difference between Biden and Trump, between the donkey and the elephant," said protester Saber Danaie, 23, of the animal mascots that represent the Democratic and Republican parties in the United States.

Don't they get news in Iran? Biden isn't running...

An agreement in 2015 to limit its nuclear program in exchange for lifting of sanctions. But the pact was torpedoed three years later under Trump whose administration withdrew from it and reimposed sanctions.

For Russia, China and North Korea, the lesson learned from Iran's mistake is never engaging nuclear arms talk with U.S. The Americans does not keep their promises even with ink signed on paper and witnessed with her allies. USA is a big liar and does not deserve any trust. Only a bigger arms race can make them think twice and behaving themselves !

Iran received complete lifting of sanctions from China/Russia. They should be thankful to Trump.

For Russia, China and North Korea, the lesson learned from Iran's mistake is never engaging nuclear arms talk with U.S.

China was never going to in the first place and russia is withdrawing regardless.

The Americans does not keep their promises even with ink signed on paper and witnessed with her allies. USA is a big liar and does not deserve any trust.

And yet the US never said "there will be no invasion" before launching an invasion.

Only a bigger arms race can make them think twice and behaving themselves !

Well you can try to outspend the leader of the OECD.

replace Biden with Harris the comment still stands! Politicians are just mouthpieces for the gold pieces! The US is just another corrupt world power like China and Russia! They claim democracy but it is a farce!

You think Russia is any better? NOPE! Signed a security guarantee with Ukraine to ensure its safety for giving up its Soviet nukes, then breaks that treaty and invades Ukraine itself.

Minsk accords are another Russian failure to live up to its promises. Ukraine also did not do all it was supposed to either.

Trump pulled America out of the Iran agreement. The same Trump you pro Russians want back in the white house. Make up your mind, is Trump good or bad?

Putin and Russia are the biggest liars out there, no question of that. Trump is on the same untrustworthy page. Dictators and wannabe dictators are all liars from top to bottom.

....as a reaction to the Bucharest declaration, the Maidan coup, the violation of the Minsk accords, and the massing of Nato supported troups at the Donets frontline, threatening to overrun the militia position. Your comment reflects the media narrative, which always blanks out the context.

Senior diplomats have been explaining that for a long time, but such background never seems to make it into the media reports.

For sure we cannot blame Iran for not liking America.

Ninety percent of the world, and I am being generous here, has the same opinion.

From ChatGPT:

Iran's historical pursuit of democracy has been significantly hindered by foreign intervention, particularly by Western powers. The 1953 coup is a pivotal event that exemplifies this interference, leading to long-lasting consequences for Iran's political landscape. The current tensions with the U.S. and Israel are part of a broader narrative of historical grievances and ongoing geopolitical conflicts.

The 1953 Coup?

The most significant example of foreign interference in Iran's democratic aspirations occurred in 1953 when the CIA, in collaboration with British intelligence, orchestrated a coup to overthrow the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh. Mossadegh had nationalized the Iranian oil industry and sought to reduce foreign influence in Iran. The coup reinstated the Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who ruled autocratically, leading to widespread discontent.

And why the objection to these moves by Mossadegh?

The West objected to Mossadegh's nationalization of the Iranian oil industry and his reduction of foreign influence due to a combination of economic interests, geopolitical strategy, fear of communism, and a desire to maintain control over a region that was vital to their strategic and economic objectives.

So as an American, I am of course unhappy that my country, which presents itself as a force for promoting democracy in the world, at times actively works against other nation’s pursuit of democracy for its own self interests. So while I can in no way agree with their “death to America” chants, their anger is not at all uncomprehensible. My own ancestors fought in the revolutionary war to establish the form of government that the American people desired. Let other people chose as they wish and, should they seek to tangle with America, then we can engage in some unsavory business. But as it stands, it is as Savio says,

For sure we cannot blame Iran for not liking America.

Ninety percent of the world, and I am being generous here, has the same opinion.

If we as Americans actually support the right of peoples to their own self determination, then we need to acknowledge it when other peoples democratically chose a government that may not act in line with our own objectives. It is just the same as with freedom of speech where, although I may disagree with someone 180 degrees, I fully acknowledge their fundamental right to speak. Until America can be what it says, it will of course bred animosity around the world. Show me the sermon, don't just say it. And America these days is far from a healthy example of democracy for others to emulate.

those are iranian hostages that out of pure fear do as they are told by the terrorist government. the same terrorist government that just destroyed a woman that defied their morality mullahs. islam is pure terror, which justifies the islamophobia awareness campaign. it's islamophobia but just not in the sense that the enablers of terrorism meant it. it's like phobia of venomous snakes, which kill

Objectively not true as the OECD loves the US and the rest are not monoliths:

Zaphod

The Revolution of Dignity (Ukrainian: Революція гідності, romanized: Revoliutsiia hidnosti), also known as the Maidan Revolution or the Ukrainian Revolution,[2] took place in Ukraine in February 2014[2][1][26][27][28] at the end of the Euromaidan protests,[1] when deadly clashes between protesters and state forces in the capital Kyiv culminated in the ousting of PresidentViktor Yanukovych, the return to the 2004 Constitution of Ukraine, and the outbreak of the 2014 Russo-Ukrainian War.[1][2]

An internal Ukraine revolution and Russia interfered when the people of Ukraine chose a path away from Russian control, and towards closer EU ties.

and the massing of Nato supported troups at the Donets frontline,

The massing of Ukrainian troops to battle insurgents and traitors.

the violation of the Minsk accords

By Russia and the separatists.

Your comment reflects the media narrative, which always blanks out the context.

You mean blanks out the Russian propaganda, lies and half truth's. A nation that blocks its own free press only does so to fully control the narrative and to spread the lies it wants its people to accept and believe. Russia, China, North Korea and Iran have suppressed the free press and speech in their nations. They cant be believed again until they reinstate a free press who can question and disprove state lies and narratives.

Defining "propaganda" what comes from East of the world these days is quite a bold statement since everyone knows the nationality of the leading news agencies. What happened during the Euromaidan uprising in 2013 after clean democratic elections in Ukraine I think is well documented. Not to mention the description of Iran interests or actions in the Middle East: laughable and sad at the same time, since there is a massacre going on caused exclusively by the IDF actions, with US made weapons.
