As always lockdowns and masks are doing the trick. We should never ever give them up to stop the whole world dying of Covid.
Do the hustle
They are doing the trick. It’s just the few imbeciles who are disregarding the restrictions and spreading the virus. I live 90 minutes north of Sydney. We had no cases until a fortnight ago when a pair of twits from western Sydney thought it would be a good idea to jump on a train and go bar hopping. Now, we have over 50 cases and the whole city is in lockdown.
633 new cases in NSW today, 90% of which are in Sydney. How many cases in Tokyo today? 4,500? Bwahaha!
Sven Asai
It’s not the bar, it’s the hopping.

Are you describing the Conservative Morrison government of Australia as progressive? Really?
Thanks for the laugh, we can all use one right now!
Fard
Disappointed Australia cannot control this.
Bobo
One guy was sentenced to 2 months in the big house for catching a train from Sydney to the countryside. W/A messiah says he won’t open the border to his promised land even when vaccinations reach 80%. So much division and no unity. My fellow Aussies have lost the plot
Matt Hartwell
Being spread by the young to a large extent. More than half the case load are those under 19.

Hey burning bush, the Australian Defence Force are providing assistance to the civil power (Police) with numbers, it will never be an armed response.
Try to understand this if you can…

Can the rest of the world just lock down that entire country for ever, make it a hermit continent.
AustPaul
That’s pretty mean proxy, may I ask where you hail from?

Kinda shows a general misunderstanding about how viral transmission works. You infect 2 people and they infect two people, and before long, it's fifty people...

@AustPaul
Other countries are declaring the pandemic over as it is now endemic and learning to live with it.
