Helping the Taliban remain in power is not helping the people of Afghanistan. Do not deal with the Taliban and give no money to them. Provide assistance through NGO's only.

“Khan seemed to offer Taliban a pass on their limits on education for girls, urging the world to understand “cultural sensitivities” and saying human rights and women's rights meant different things in different countries..”

Women’s rights = Human rights.

It’s not that hard. Get with the times

The hastily called meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Islamabad

Well, the Taliban are Pakistans baby (read up about how they were created), and is quite suitable that Pakistan takes responsibility for them.

Besides, I do not see why the Talibs should be so poor. Can they they sell a part of the gigantic stack of military hardware that Joe Biden left with them? That should be quite a handsome income.

In August and September, we read about Russia and China making a play for the trillion US dollars of mineral wealth estimated to exist in Afghanistan. The PRC will be more than happy to extend debt bondage to the new rulers of Afghanistan (and it is probably already happening.) This "hastily called" conference is nothing more than a sham aimed at the West to get them to cough up aid as they always do anytime there is a nation collapsing. Next will be an OIC conference for collapsing Lebanon...

I say to Pakistan, you caused this. You own it. The instability and suffering this winter is a direct result of your

undermining the Ghani regime through your support of the Taliban. You are like the dog that chased a car, and finally caught it. "Now what do we do?" ["let's play on the West's heartstrings!"]
