To retaliate further and escalate the situation is a very bad decision

We all know Iran's response was ineffective in doing any real damage

Problem here is Bidens two faced double standard stance.

Biden should retract the U.S military support of defense of Israel if Israel escalates the situation by directly attacking Iran again

We don't need another world war.

And Taiwan needs protection

Ukraine is about to throw in the towel unfortunately.

Biden suggested that the Israelis take ‘a win’

However, bloodthirstiness and revengeful spirit dominate.

The desire to impose the Israeli will is much stronger than the desire to de-escalate the situation.

Of course, Iran will in turn do the same.

Hopefully any Israeli counterattack will be kayfabe like the Iranian one was. That would be best for all.

lol, no they aren't.

Iran has made a big mistake! It showed the world how inferior their weapons are and how superior Israel's defense systems are! Now Iran is going to pay the price for their stupidity!

We are not involved in their decision-making process about a potential response,” Kirby said.

Nonsense !

Biden has made it clear the USA will defend Israel if iran attacks Israel .

That's definitely part of Israel's decision making process because without the USA support Israel wouldn't retaliate

"Your next mistake will be the end of your fake country."

That's one extra large flag

""They aint fakin'...whole lotta retaliatin' goin' on "

Meanwhile I'm still thinking

The U.S., Britain and Jordan — a key American ally in the region — have all said their air forces helped intercept the Iranian missiles and drones. Halevia said France and “other partners” were involved, and he noted that “Iran’s attack has created new opportunities for cooperation in the Middle East.”

Many have helped to minimize the Iran attack, otherwise strong response and escalation would have been a certainty.

Still seems very likely of course

Anything after last weekend is not retaliation, that's escalation. This article doesn't even mention embassy attack on April 1st. which lead to drone attack last weekend.

Had the air forces of other countries not intervened and had Iran not limited their response to Israel then the casualties in Israel would have been horrendous.

Israel was well defended .

However, now Israel will attempt to leverage their chutzpah.

What will soon be horrendous will be the response from Iran after the Israelis attack.

""Israel’s military chief said Monday that his country will respond to Iran’s weekend attack,""

Big Mistake.

Israel lunched a surprise attack on Iran's Consulate in Syria and killed 6 Iranians and injured several Syrian innocent citizens too.

Iran gave Israel and the world all the warnings and plenty of time to prepare for it's retaliatory attack, the next time around I don't think there will be any warnings, both Israel and Iran are Nukes armed and are capable of inflecting serious damage,

If Netanyahu thinks this is Gaza or Hamas !? he is stupidly mistaken.

Netanyahu said that “Israel will do whatever is required to defend itself,” the prime minister's office announced.

By murdering more children, killing more journalists, drone killing more aid workers and stealing more land from its rightful owners, all with US support.

That's what I think too.

And this, boys and girls is why you don't want to be extremely bigoted.

The Israeli system basically weeds out of power anyone who isn't bigoted enough to think disenfranchising the majority of your actual population makes you a very democratic country, so you get guys who think that a country that calls you not democratic but something else is the one that isn't democratic.

And because it, and it's population insist they are, well, then it is them that must be stupid, and how few of the population tries to overthrow the government means that the population are cowards.

And that makes it easy to decide that the government not reacting to your attempts to bully or goad them into a fight means the government is run by cowards.

And, then, when they do react, but in a restrained manner, even though they slapped you after saying they would, and how they would, and when you would, and despite all that you and your friends try to do, slap you how and where they said, you convince yourself that it didn't hurt (much) and they only landed a lucky punch, and start thinking and talking about not just poking them in a sensitive spot, but hitting them hard, even though they said they weren't going let you even just poke them again, without hitting you back immediately.

So the reason you don't want to be extremely bigoted isn't because it's rude, it's because it can lead you to foolishly try and beat up someone who can easily beat you down, and has warned you they will.

I hope they do something rational like increase attack on Hezbollah, or another Iranian proxy. To attack Iran directly would be the most catastrophic strategic mistake.

Agreed

This is very naive

Bibi must be thrilled to have his excuse and reason to strike Iran.

Israel is not playing games.

Iran will find out again.

The U.S. has urged Israel to show restraint...

LOL!

Biden should have "urged restraint" BEFORE Netanyahu's murderous attack in Syria (and after 6 straight months of "Gazalighting" that with malice aforethought has totally destroyed a whole society, killed and injured 150,000 and is bent on starving the rest).

2 ( +4 / -2 )

The simple reality is that if, as Iran stated, it has run out of patience with the Israeli regime (and the parts of the world that refuse to stop supporting it no matter how badly it behaves) anything it perceives as another Israeli attack on it is going to get a response that will be so unmistakably a loss for Israel that not even Trump will be able to pretend that it was 'a win' for Israel to 'take'.

The thing all the 'leaders' trying to create a set of alternative facts so that Israel can 'take the win' is that to the Israeli regime in general, and Netanyahu personally, nothing will get them to see being hit (and they can't even see it as being hit back) as not being a loss until they are exhausted to keep fighting (one only has to look at the genocide in Gaza, and the pogroms against Palestinians in the West Bank to see that). So all the American government is accomplishing by helping Israel delude itself even more by helping create the illusion that Iran failed to demonstrate it had the ability to hit whatever it wanted despite a full blown effort to keep it from succeeding is embarrassing itself and making it possible for Netanyahu to pretend a war with Iran wasn't the guaranteed loss his more realistic military command insists it will be. The Israeli regime was always going to destroy itself, either by imploding like the White State in South Africa did, or by starting a fight it couldn't win and being psychologically incapable of realizing it could not win.

I was hoping for the less horrendous first one to happen, but it is pretty much inevitable that it will be the second one, which will be a disaster for all Jews, except, ironically, Iranian Jews.
