Interesting to compare the population of Gaza , around 2.5 million, to the number of Hamas fighters, around 50,000 according to Israel.

The proportion gives lie to the continual claims "there are no innocents in Gaza . All are Hamas ".

Meanwhile in the UN, 142 nations voted in favour of giving Palestine recognition of statehood .

The USA votes to veto this through the UNSC.

Not a democratic system is it ? One that gives the powerful {read bully nation } the ability to continue to thwart aspirations of other nations.

And in a show of foolishness, reminiscent of a Junior High School debate, the Israeli rep. at the UN SHREDDED the UN Charter on a little shredder, in front of the UN Members.

What Statesmanship.

Would you also agree that there are innocents in Israel, and that Hamas’ attack on 10/7 was unjustified as they killed innocent people?

Joe Biden administration/government weasel words are frankly beyond duplicitous falsehood.

Us government have and will continue to supply the IDF will every type of weaponry required to fulfil it objectives, also the logistical next generation intelligence capability.

Israel lost 1,200 civilians, while Palestine lost 25,000+. Two-thirds of Gaza's buildings have been destroyed, leaving 2 million Palestinians homeless.

Israel does not have the authority to order Palestinians to evacuate anywhere. Israel is an occupying force in several violations of the UN charter.

Those pro-palestinans / pro- Hamas supporters had shown their "long-life" support to Palestine... Since 10/7

You honestly believe this^^. This is pure division, I'm surprised USA even voted against, sooner or later, the west will be even more divided than it is. They have unsurpringly (through social media, and store bought media) created an entire class of un-selfaware people. People that can't tell the difference between terrorist hostage takers and national defence force.

I never would have guessed they can divide America's allies from each other, but looking at the vote, it's clear, they have. Sigh, our own democratically elected politicians turned into headless drones, even as hostages are still being held by terrorists.

They're oblivious to the fact, terrorists are more not less emboldened, hostages are still held, civilians are still under attacked (both sides). Yeah, their efforts are working, NOT!

What Israel is doing in Gaza will have far more reaching implications for years to come. The world standing by and watching the rogue anarchy state of Israel kill and destroy the lives and the future of the Palestinians in the name of self defense with little or no action.

These acts will set the stage for future conflict and a nation could get away with MURDERS.

A new world order is in progress written by Netanyahu and his backers.

@Sh1mon M4sada

You honestly believe this^^. This is pure division,

What do you mean? The resolution won a resounding majority of 143 votes in favor. Twenty five abstained, and nine nations voted against.

In favor 80%, abstain 14% against 5%.

What prospect is foreseeable of any independent Palestinian state in Gaza?

Zero.

The question now is what can be salvaged, saved of any vision of autonomy for Palestinians, if or when a protracted military ground offensive swings into action??

This is the reality of when politicians embark on a gross display of fake ceasefire negotiations, when pursuing a clandestine political agenda.

This war (IDF/Hamas) could well be just a taste of what to come, Hezbollah could become the next to face a prolonged onslaught barrage of destruction as this conflict is in danger of fanning out.

Whatever the US government briefs the media, in private the "die has been cast".

Yes Simon, I do believe the UN member states voted to move toward Palestinian statehood.

It actually happened.

And Bone, I think Israel has extracted enough blood vengeance in Gaza for 10 times the Hamas attacks.

Israel cruelled any sympathy following 7/10 by its relentless bombing and attacks.

Why destroy schools, Universities, hospitals, orchard, shipping fleets for fishing, roads,,,,, , infrastructure etc.

Its all disproportionate....then add in the innocent deaths of tens of thousands of women, children ,babies and non combatant young men.

Then add in the infinitely greater number of life long disabilities, amputations, blindness, mental trauma.

I think Israel has done enough, inflicted enough pain and suffering on Palestine.

Meanwhile in the occupied West Bank, Palestinians are terrorized by psychotic settlers and imprisoned without trial in hell holes, blind folded, beaten without cause.

The world no longer looks away.

Whoever after 7 months still does not see the murderous method in Netanyahu's madness is either hopelessly naive, incapable of recognizing patterns of human behavior and their underlying motivations or else is no less immoral than those who carried out their wicked plans to remove Jews from Europe during WW2. To atone for humanity's latest outbreak of sadistic savagery on an international scale and to deter other future world leaders devoid of moral principles or ethical values we the people of the world need an updated televised Nuremberg-style show trial with draconian punishments for those guilty of all the bestial slaughter we have witnessed on our computers and phones since October 7. History will not forgive those who averted their eyes from this enormity, the world's first televised genocide.

War is bad, ugly, but you have to do what sometimes needs to be done when it comes to your very survival and to protect your homeland.

Well history tell a difference story:

Israel now exists, right?

How?

By the same methods Hamas is using!

Well yes, it worked for Israel!

How do you think all those wanted terrorists became the first leaders of Israel?

Funny how so many either don't know, forgot or conveniently omit the fact that groups like the Irgun, Lehi, Haganah and Palmach etc.. look up bombing of the King David hotel to see what the pre Israel leaders did.

Remember Menachem Begin was a wanted terrorist by the British as we're many of Israel's founding members!

Irgun members (you know the guys that killed 90 by blowing up the hotel

Yitzhak Shamir:became Israel's 7th PM

Uri Avnery: Became a member of the Knesset.

Nathan Yellin-Mor: served in the Knesset after he planned the assignation of "Walter Guinness, 1st Baron Moyne the British minister of state in the Middle East"

Mordechai Olmert: another Knesset membre.

That is just the Irgun members.

The rest all did pretty well including Menachem Begin and other members Haganah!

Funny no problem then in dealing with terrorists that became politicians.

So Israel, the USA and the rest that support Israel claim Hamas is a terrorist group and no deals but why did the then Israeli terrorist group get a free pass and create Israel?

Hypocrisy 101!
