"All were well ".

What about the rape and starvation and torture allegations.

Rescued 4 ....good....killed 94...bad.

Negotiations to release hostages and Palestinian prisoners without trial are a better option.

Hamas accepts the deal on the table to achieve this,

Netanyahu does not.

Who is the war monger ?

At least 94 dead Palestinians, including children, were brought to local hospitals, a health official said.

How many were militants. I wish we could get numbers on the militant to civilian ratio

I can’t say what the hostages have been through, but from the pictures we can see here they actually look like they’ve been treated reasonably well considering it was eight months in captivity.

-3 ( +14 / -17 )

Seems like an acceptable tradeoff. Who wouldn't trade untold numbers to get their family members back?

-6 ( +14 / -20 )

Good news.

If these 4 innocent people had been rightfully returned months ago, it is likely those 94 Palestinians would not have died.

Terror group Hamas needs to go for the sake of the Palestinians.

again Biden and his foreign policy failed.......

Isreal was true not to stop the search and rescue of their citizens.

Hamas supporters ... the mulsims terrorists ... Fake palatines supporters . Listen .........return the hostages..... then the war will end.

Or it will go until the last men and women are rescued...

You can keep screaming ... that won't work with Israel..

again Biden and his foreign policy failed.......

Absolutely!

Isreal was true not to stop the search and rescue of their citizens.

I agree!

*Hamas supporters ... the mulsims terrorists ... Fake palatines supporters . Listen .........return the hostages..... then the war will end. *

And see, that’s it. All of this could end, people didn’t have to needlessly die if Hamas would have done the right thing.

Or it will go until the last men and women are rescued...

You can keep screaming ... that won't work with Israel

Amen.

Hamas offered to RETURN all hostage in exchange for Palestinian prisoners as early as OCT. 9th 2023 but Blood Thirsty Bibi and his Gang rejected the offer.

Israel could have had all of the hostages back ALIVE but Bibi chose Death and Destruction instead.

Hamas offered to RETURN all hostage in exchange for Palestinian prisoners as early as OCT. 9th 2023 but Blood Thirsty Bibi and his Gang rejected the offer.

The keywords here being “in exchange”. It’s extremely irresponsible to give in to Hamas’ demands for an exchange when what they’re offering to exchange was the result of the largest terror attack in Israel’s history. It will only encourage Hamas in the future if Israel starts giving in to their demands won’t it?

-3 ( +13 / -16 )

Good, glad they are safe. Should never have been held captive by cowardly Hamas in the first place. Let’s not forget how they ended up as hostages, the murderous butchery of civilians and children in a Co-ordinated and long planned rampage of murder, torture and rape.

Hamas must go, not because we can’t live with them, but because they can’t live with us and seek genocide.

""Israel holds about 4,500 Palestinian prisoners, of which about 310 are being held in administrative detention, without the right to a trial.""

""Number of Palestinian Children (12-17) in Israeli Military Detention. Each year approximately 500-700 Palestinian children, some as young as 12 years old, are detained and prosecuted in the Israeli military court system. The most common charge is stone throwing .Apr 29, 2024""

Source, Defense for Children Palestine.

Hamas was and still is demanding the release of Children Israel is detaining for stone throwing at occupation soldiers, Israel detains children as young as 9 years old for throwing a rock at a tanks and jeeps.

Kill 100 people to save 4.

Sounds fair to me…

-5 ( +9 / -14 )

Not sure how this will fit in to the Israel narrative. The hostages came out in very good health. No torture. No rape.

Some things are better left unsaid

Several news outlets are reporting that over 200 people were killed including several children and the number still growing as many are still under rubbles, and over 400 were injured during this IGF rescue operation.

Heavy bombardment and air strikes was used to pave the way for the soldiers to reach the hostages without any regards to human life putting the hostages and the people in area at extreme risks.

-2 ( +10 / -12 )

Not sure how this will fit in to the Israel narrative. The hostages came out in very good health. No torture. No rape.

Not that we don’t know of just yet. Still there are other non-visible injuries already, the trauma, the anxiety, fear, PTSD, that’s just the beginning, those are just the emotional scars. What else will we find?

-8 ( +8 / -16 )

A high price to retake the four hostages. One hostage was killed. One Israeli police officer. 100-200 Palestinians were killed.

-4 ( +9 / -13 )

Further proof that Hamas is using its own citizens as a shield to fight behind.

Hamas has got to go.

I agree.

How many were militants. I wish we could get numbers on the militant to civilian ratio.

They're all militants in the eyes of the Israelis, so the kill ratio was 100%.

The Israeli commandos approached the operation site IN A TRUCK MARKED AS HUMANITARIAN AID

Thats the war crime of "Perfidy ".

Israel has been added to the UN countries who target children in war.

Called "The List of Shame " , other "members include Boko Haram .

Another feather in Israel's cap.

People here dont think Palestinians' lives have the same value as Israelis,

That's called racism.

BTW negotiations secured over 100 released captives during the ceasefire.

Negotiations, not more indiscriminate murder of bystanders , is the way to go.

Not surprisingly, Times of Israel cant find it important to mention ANY dead Gazans' in its coverage.

It is. And a price Hamas accepts. It could have released the hostages previously. But it won't because it wants this war because it is happy to sacrifice its citizens on order to have a war. Israel has one duty - to its citizens.

Sure, but thats not the narrative that has been peddled is it. Apparently Hamas have been raping and torturing none stop.

""Israel’s military said it had attacked “threats to our forces in the area,” adding that one commando died from his wounds.""

4 rescued, one Israeli Commando and over 200 Palestinians are dead with 400 wounded !?

Not a success by any military measures, this operation was a total disaster especially when all hostages could be released through negotiations without the lose of any lives on either side.

In Ukraine, Barel said that Russia needed to be defeated on the battlefield, thereby supporting a bloodbath on Ukrainian territory. In Palestine, Barel says that the bloodbath must end. Barel, have you already decided who you are and what you want?

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Hamas can end this war at any time by surrendering and releasing the hostages. Why do the Western media never point this out.

If the IDF has to continue to dig the remaining kidnap victims out of Hamas dungeons, of course more civilians will die.

4 rescued, one Israeli Commando and over 200 Palestinians are dead with 400 wounded !?

That is the result of Hamas hiding behind civilians on purpose. What do you expect? And fwiw, the casualty figures come from the Hamas "ministry of health". As the UN politely states:

"The UN has so far not been able to produce independent, comprehensive, and verified casualty figures; the current numbers have been provided by the Ministry of Health or the Government Media Office in Gaza and the Israeli authorities and await further verification."

Good for the rescues..

But how many innocent Palestinian women and children died for nothing??..

STOP THE GENOCIDE!!!...

"All were well ".

What about the rape and starvation and torture allegations.

Hamas themselves filmed their attacks and bragged about it. Many of the videos are easy to find, if you have the stomach to watch them.

Great success for Israel in rescuing hostages and exterminating terrorists.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

Should never have been held captive by cowardly Hamas in the first place.

Hamas should never have needed to take these hostages in the first place. Unfortunately, the world was pressured by the US and stood by and did nothing for decades as Israel increasingly stole land, killed Palestinian civilians, and held on to several thousand Palestinian hostages, including women and children.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

more than 36,700 Palestinians killed, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, which does not distinguish between fighters and civilians.

Fake numbers but even so still surprisingly low after 8 months; I thought Israel had taken out more terrorists by now.

Credit Israel for its international law compliant precise attack campaign.

Go Israel!

All of this is on the hatred-filled Hamas terrorists.

They can end this right now by releasing all hostages and making a complete surrender.

Instead, they cowardly hide behind their own people.

Israel will prevail. Hamas will be soundly defeated.

Where did you see this? I tried quickly googling it and nothing came up

It’s getting there, slowly but surely.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

tell you what, if you release the hostages, then nobody will get harm in the rescue mission. Now the terrorist hamas is taking normal civilians as hostages for months, and Israel trying to rescue them become the victim to be blamed. what is happening to the world?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Hamas could release all the hostages but that won't stop the Israeli bombings.

I'm sorry, but what does that have anything to do with the IDF going after Hamas aggressively?

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

The numbers just don't stack up to any reasonable, rational thinker.

Israel the genocidal State. Kill. Kill. Kill.
