It can't be retaliation, it will be considered as escalation.

Considering last weekend happened because what happened for embassy attack on April 1st.

A couple of months ago, saying that it would take the Israeli regime directly attacking Iran on Iranian soil for Iran to respond was a reasonable assumption.

But since then, well, all that happened.

But Iran also made it clear that it would not return to that standard, that just because it considered its very pointed demonstration that, with every American and British and Israeli etc fighter in the air trying to prevent it, with all the ground based air defenses having their shots at preventing Iran from hitting their targets, Iran could (and did) HIT THE TARGETS IT CHOSE, to end the matter, it would regard the Israeli regime attacking Iran ANYWHERE, directly or indirectly, to warrant a direct, much bigger response on Israeli regime's soil, and keep doing so.

1/ Iran telegraphed the drone attack by advising Israel through, probably some Euro countries, that the attack was coming in 17 hours or more. No one killed...minimal damage. Military sites only targeted.

It was a show of force only.

2/Israel bombed Iranian soil when it covertly destroyed an Embassy compound in Syria. Killing 13 people.

3/Sadly this tit for tat has diverted world attention from Israel's destruction of Gaza, the ethnic cleansing and the deaths of 35,000 people.

4/People who should know better vastly underestimate Iran's military power and over estimate Israels.

Israel has yet to defeat a non state actor of resistance fighters in Gaza, despite months of unrelenting attack

The myth of the IDF has melted.

Israel is a country of 10 million people surrounded by potentially hostile nations with hundreds of million people.

Tread carefully would seem to be good tactics

Israel started when attacked Iran's Damascus consulate..

Sorry no bonus..

1 ( +7 / -6 )

Lol, they chose to miss 99% of their targets? More likely that Israel and partners let a few hit something so Iran could claim they got their "revenge".

It’s time for the Israeli people to show their opposition to their spiteful war crazed government.

Its difficult for Israelis to compor compromise but the deal has been put in place.

Israel has been warned and future offensive actions will lead to loss of life.

Israel is losing 10 billion dollars a month ,in it war in Gaza, this war is bleeding Israel economy dry Google Gaza War Israel GDP

The cost of drones pales into insignificance compared to the cost of bringing the drone down. Secondly, Iran now has more intel on where the "Iron Dome " facilities are.

So not a failed mission showing Israel superiority.

It was a show of face, highly calibrated, by Iran.

Can both nations start a student exchange or similar.

Hatred breed hatred

Unbelievable that countries are against Israel defending herself. Sick.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

Of course it will because it is as bad as Iran that everyone complains about!

It kills thousands of people for years, illegally kidnaps people and holds them in illegal prisons for years, then when those it has abused for decades retaliate, it goes in and massacres tens of thousands of women and children, breaks international laws bombs diplomatically protected locations in others countries then gets a retaliation from a country no one likes and call authoritarian religious gardline, etc...but instead of acting smart like a civilized country, Israel is showing exactly what it is, a mirror of the authoritarian hardline religious county!

Iran and Israel are the same, authoritarian, religious bases hardline, sponsor terrorism, assignations, hold prisoners without trial, abuse human rights, torture, etc..

Only difference is one is disguise as a so-called democracy and the other one. Admits, it's a religious autocracy.

Defending????!!!!

Israel fired the first shot, that is not defending it is attacking!

What is unbelievable is how the international community has let Israel commit mass murder and genocide for decades and full on mass killings these past months and did nothing!

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

Israel is vowing to retaliate against Iran, risking further expanding the shadow war between the two foes into a direct conflict

Looking forward to the G7 condemnation of any Israeli escalation and subsequent sanctions. I mean no double standard hypocricy by our righteous leaders right?

And it was Netanyahu's plan all along when he decided to attack the diplomatic building in Syria.

It almost worked until the USA and others said "No" we will not help you in your tit for tat, it's over.

So now he must Up the ante to try and draw the USA in.

And following in the footsteps of past psychopathic genocidal leaders he's going to!

Antique, this war in Gaza is bleeding Israel economy dry,the Israelis have lost almost 1000 service in six months, they were never gonna pacify hamas ,just like an American city is gonna pacify gangs

Seeing the scenes of rapture and jubilation on the streets of Iran and also from around the world paints a very good picture of the radically two different mindsets at play here. Two mindsets that are near impossible to bring together. Those that can actually celebrate violence and those that, by their very nature, can’t and will never.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to bridge this gap we are all ears. Am steadily losing hope in half of humanity.

""U.S. officials say President Joe Biden has told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the U.S. will not participate in any offensive action against Iran,""

Okay Bibi now listen, we'll arm you, we'll provide intel's, we'll shoot down any thing coming out of Iran during the attack, we'll cover your back incase you crumble,

But we will NOT "participate in any offensive"

April fools already passed but we can always change the date.

What sort of person thinks that people celebrating the end of Israel's ability to commit violence, war crimes, and crimes against humanity with impunity are celebrating violence?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Lol, they chose to miss 99% of their targets? ...A coalition of international partners helped Israel defend itself effectively. Israel’s military says 99% of the weapons were intercepted, with few reaching Israeli airspace.

This is what 99% intercepted apparently looks like. Our free western media wouldn't be spreading misinformation again, would they. https://x.com/Sprinterfactory/status/1779597510362742786

Iran has made it abundantly clear that should the Israeli regime and its proxies violently attack Iran again in ANY way, instead of using a screen of a few hundred cheap drones and missiles for less than 10 hypersonic missiles, it'll be putting many more of those 100% successful hypersonic missiles into the Israeli regime's plethora of military targets.

And before that, it demonstrated what it would do if those proxies attacked financially, close the Persian Gulf to genocide linked cargo. Given how rapidly cargo carriers would have to choose between carrying genocide linked cargo, or losing the business of major cargo importers like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain etc, which will they choose. Note that unlike with the Suez Canal (also closed to such cargo) there is no alternative, longer route. And the logistics of only doing the 'no genocide cargo' thing with some ships of the fleet are a nightmare. When the cargo carriers switch, they'll do it fleet wide.

The least safe place in the world for Jews is, thanks to Zionists & Frendz, Israel. The Israelis had better get their heads out of the sand before it's too late: the peoples of the Middle East have been waiting since 1967 for the armed-to-the-teeth European settlers to agree to a just solution for peaceful co-existence with those they dispossessed and displaced. Unfortunately, picking another fight with Iran is just pouring oil on the flames and boosting the arms industry.

One of the most critical decisions is not mapping out strategy and not using Chinese or Russian guidance systems,by guiding drone near the Syrian and Turkey border would give the drone cover as the enter Lebanon on too their destination, the US GPS is the most accurate in the world

Israel fired the first shot, that is not defending it is attacking!

Oh! Multiverse stuff! Okay, cool! On what version of Earth did this happen?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

It can't be retaliation, it will be considered as escalation.

”Phased” escalation?

That was tried by the US in Vietnam. It failed.

When you retaliate hit hard and knock your opponent to the ground with the message that if they don’t stop, the next blow will be the k.o..

Everybody has been holding Israel back for years, now Israel (as it sees things) has a green light.

Posters here could see readers comments in media such as Times of Israel. Pure prejudice against Arabs.

When an Israeli youth recently stabbed an Arab bus driver...guess what...zero comments

Israel has morphed into a nasty little nation under the political right, personified by the 3 piece "War Cabinet "

.

And didnt Israeli youth, in recent years set up lounge chairs on a hill top to watch Gaza being bombed.

More recently gangs of Israeli brigands terrorizing Arab farmers on the occupied West Bank.

More than 100 killed in recent months

Any arrests made, convictions, imprisonment. ?

Nope. IDF facilitates the murderous rampages.

Israel has turned a mythical religious book {The Bible/The Torah } into an instrument of politics backed by armed force.

Such a sick sense of entitlement to other peoples land.

Thats the root of the problem.

Retaliations don't be in the open. People in the IRG will just die, for no clear reason over the next few years.

The difference is that Iran attacks without any careful targets. Israel will have specific targets. There may be a few machine failures in places where missiles and drones are built in Iran too, but probably not that will be attributed to anything besides bad luck.

Everybody has been holding Israel back for years, now Israel (as it sees things) has a green light.

When did this happen, in an alternate universe?

Israel has violated every UN resolution, violated international laws on more occasions than we can count, illegally use fake passports from other countries to conduct assignations, bombed other countries with impunity, violated international laws and agreements by bombing a diplomatic building in another country, violated other countries sovereignty, killed thousands of unarmed civilians for decades, kidnapped people, put them in blackhole prisons without charges or trial, tortured them including nearly half being women and children, (6,000 at any given time), armed settlers that have killed nearly 1,000 Palestinians in 2023 and another 1000 before that, broken agreements by expanding settlements from the agreed 140 to the now 280 with the new 140 being built by killing the land owners (Palestinians) and taking the land, it is now commiting genocide in Gaza with impunity, etc...

So where and when did the international community hold back Israel.

The international community (read western countries) actually created the mess by letting invaders from Europe into the Palestinian territories and take the land based on a fictional belief a god gave them it!

But I ask the question not one Israel supporter dares answer!

If a group of outsiders arrived in your country, your home and claimed they had the right to your land because their god gave it to them thousands of years ago and they were forced to leave thousands of years ago and are back to claim it.

Would you just say "OK , you can have it" and leave?

If you are not willing to do that then you cannot justify support for Israel!

Israel says it will retaliate against Iran, despite the risks

Iran has been attacking Israel for decades through its proxy terrorist groups. It's a risk for Israel to not take action against Iran now. Hezbollah has been shooting into Israel everyday recently, and Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have been launching long-range missiles at Israel.

Israel, with one shot, took out two Iranian terrorists in Syria.

Iran, with over 300 missiles and rockets and drones injured a 7 year old Arab Bedouin girl.

There is no such valid scenario, unless you are referring to Arabs trying to take land from the country of Israel. The only country in that region. Historically. Ever.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Iran, with over 300 missiles and rockets and drones injured a 7 year old Arab Bedouin girl.

Yeah, and despite announcing their intended targets in advanced, they still managed to hit an extremely heavily guarded airfield. One purpose for Iran's retaliation was to learn more about israel's defenses.

If israel hits Iran again, Iran's response will not be as measured, and will likely cause serious damage.

Indeed. israel supporters can't answer that question. But what's also interesting is that few of "God's chosen" people" want to fight for the land that "God promised them", they're escaping israel in droves...

Iran, with over 300 missiles and rockets and drones injured a 7 year old Arab Bedouin girl.

Sure, because Iran only targeted military sites not civilian ones. Also, since you talk about casualties, dont forget to mention the 150 thousand dead and wounded in Gaza ( vast majority civilian women and children ).

1 ( +3 / -2 )

The only country in that region. Historically. Ever.

Reminds me of that Eddie Izzard bit "Have you got a flag?"

Countries are a relatively new creation in the grand scheme. Many areas of the world existed as regions where people of similar cultures, languages and faiths existed. The Levant is a perfect example of this. Empires are another example. Just becasue it was not called Palestine and the borders were not set in stone, does not mean the area was up for grabs to the first disgruntled European with a flag.

Yes 100% such a scenario!

Ashkenazi like Netanyahu's family from Europe have near zero connection to the region, the tiny pre Israel population of Sephardim are the only ones that actually belong there!

Going back pre David the Canaanites had the land and the Israelites took it today. DNA shows that the descendants of the Canaanites are the Arabs in Israel and Lebanon with 90% having a genetic match along with the Sephardic.

These are facts genetically proven despite the fact that some dubious research in Israel ordered by oh right Netanyahu somehow comes up with completely different results from the rest of the world!

Netanyahu and the vast majority of The Jewish population of Israel are European!

They arrived with some fictitious story that it was their land 2,000 years ago and that God gave it to them and they took it from the Arabs that had been there without leaving the land for several thousand years and this can be proven with DNA!

So your constant stant claims that the Arabs are not from the region is untrue because the DNA from pre-david's time of the Canaanites and the Arabs are linked genetically by DNA. So please stop with the false claims that the Arabs are not the original inhabitants!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Another reason Britain and the Euro powers happily annexed Arab land for the Jewish people was to see many Jews leave the above mentioned countries.

Sad but true.
