I bet they are. Unfortunately Trump doesn't seem dumb enough to swat at that hornet's nest in reality.

It Ain't Gonna Happen so Quit asking.
Reports out of Egypt, the military is recommending to the leadership to go Nuclear in order to maintain Peace and regional Power Balance.

Of course Israel is committed to expulsion of non Jews from "promised land of the chosen ones". This has always been the plan. A land for Jews and only Jews.

Mr. Trump can invest all he wants in Gaza with his Zionist Partners, in the end it will all be in the Hands of the Palestinians and he knows it.
Hamas is not going anywhere, Israel in not going anywhere, BUT Mr. Trump and Bibi are in less than 4 years, Trump and Bibi is just another passing lost storm over Gaza and the Palestinians WILL weather it out.

Israel expressed commitment on Monday to a U.S. proposal to take over Gaza and displace its Palestinian residents
I would submit that this is NOT a US proposal, but come straight from Bibi and his gang.

Once even one Palestinian leaves then that will set a precedent for others to follow.
Israel and the U.S. working in tandem are a force which the Palestinians cannot counter.

""A vocal opponent of stopping the war, far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, said he "will demand a vote" by ministers on Trump's plan and that Israel must "issue a clear ultimatum to Hamas -– immediately release all hostages, leave Gaza for other countries, and lay down your arms".
And IF They Don't ???

The ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians is not acceptable to them and most other countries. Eygpt is proposing a rebuilding plan for Gaza without the Palestinians having to leave. The Zionists must be resisted.

There are some reports that Egypt has moved its armed forces into the Sinai, and Jordan has said it will declare war if this plan goes through. We are entering into a very dangerous stage here.

Lots of Israelis Jews wonder why they are despised and cry anti semitism tears
Wick's pencil
Of course they're committed to it, it has been their plan from the beginning.

I agree, it ain't gonna happen. Trump probably just mentioned it to get Palestine's neighbors involved.
Underworld
Of course, a thug like Netanyahu has always wanted Palestinians out of Gaza.
Did anyone think to ask the Palestinians?

If Trump wants Gaza so much, then the people who live there should have the right to vote on it and they should also be allowed to become U. S. citizens. Otherwise, it’s just a sanitized version of ethnic cleansing, without the bloodshed.

This is the Trump/Bibi plan:
--Palestinians have to move out.
--Arab states take them in, at their cost.
--Arab states pay for the cleanup of Gaza.
--The U.S. controls Gaza. By fiat, with Donald Trump as "chairman".
--Trump's real estate pals develop the place.
--Israeli's move in.
It's not really a workable (or remotely legal) plan, but evil and destructive nonetheless.

Trump said -
"......the US would "take over" the territory...."
Now that's really going to work isn't it?
The most contested piece of land in the Middle East, inhabited in the main by Palestinians for centuries, is to become a US controlled "haven".
That strategy has really worked for the US in the past - not.
Imagine the security alone required to establish such a domain.
But it won't happen - not peacefully anyway - as millions of people are not just going to rollover because of outsiders rhetoric.

Whose plan is it? Is it Trump's, is it Netanyahu's, is it Kuchner's?
Many months ago I saw an interview of Kuchner by Al Jazeera. He said Gaza should be given Gaza to develop. His stated ideas were basicall ehat Trump is proposing.
If Gazan's are to be resettled anywhere, what about removing the illegal settlers from the illegal settlements in the Occupied West Bank and giving those settlements to Gazans?
Jordan and Egypt will not accept Palestinian refugee camps as they know what Israel does to Palestinian refugee camps. They know that Israel will imagine Hamas are in the camps and then imagine they have the right to bomb them to defend Israel.

How about finally enforcing the 1967 borders?
That the US has never done it proves they are not interested in peace; they're just using israel to cause trouble in the region.

The fly in the ointment is that no Arab country or Iran wants this nest of vipers in their midst.
GuruMick
Toblerone...give the hasbara a break and ask how many MILLIONS of Palestinian refugees CURRENTLY stay in surrounding Arab countries
Now...from Times of Israel
Netanyahu cabinet threaten to bring down his Govt. if PM goes ahead with next phase of negotiated phased release of captives and presumably Palestinian prisoners.
So, Israeli hard right politicians are happy to see their citizens remain in captivity.
Netanyahu refusing delivery of mobile homes and such into Gaza, presumably breaking assurances made in the overall hostage release deal.
Netanyahu saying Trumps plan the only plan and refusing any Palestinian Authority role in a future governance of Gaza.
So, Netanyahu again the deal breaker and condemns his own people to more time in captivity.

Here's the best solution. Pragmatism in mind, they should be moved to the nearby area where the majority of them already is, in the western part of Jordan. But as no one wants them as an additional burden, including Jordan, the King there should lend the area to the international community and have them to finance and manage the whole thing, like a separated country, area of course still officially Jordanian, but supervision globally and when they once have learned to behave without Hamas or similar, also a government together with or later only by Palestinian authorities is thinkable. All sides served, isn't it? Out of Israel, not in Egypt or Jordan directly, who both don't really want them, not spread all over the world where they would feel far from home and only develop nothing else than demonstrations, protests and terror, and long awaited for they have de facto an own country as well as Israel has peace and Trump has free hands for his beach resort project. If you see a bigger hurdle or have any better proposals feel free to correct me.

I hold that a third party such as India should take over the territory and populate it with peaceful Buddhists. When the Hindu Nationalists are in power the territory will be Jewish, and when the secularists are in power the territory will be Muslim.
funkymofo
The Gaza plan, the Canada 51st state, Geenland US territory- absolutely will not happen.
bass4funk
The U.S. as well.
Exactly what Trump wants
They can resist all they want, but they have nothing, and if that means the people need to be relocated then that will happen OR if the Arab nations help that would be even better, but no one, despite the liberal and their rants believes the Palestinians won’t be able to return, that’s just nonsense.

Not a bad idea. Of course however many billions$$ are donated/spent on it, it will remain a vipers nest of mischief and ill intention. They can’t/won’t change what they are.
