Any country with institutionalized anti-Semitism, like Malaysia, needs to be ostracized by the international community.

The move is a response to human rights violations by successive Israeli governments. That said, there's no doubt that Mahathir's comments are anti-Semitic.

I welcome a ban/boycott but
Mahathir, now 93 and in his second stint as premier, has in the past attracted criticism for his verbal attacks on Jews, including calling them "hook-nosed"
