by your argument, the West Bank, should be free already. Tiny Gaza and Hamas represent a tiny fraction/section of Palestine.

Yes, but Gaza in particular have the very large faction of a group that is hell bent on destroying the Jewish nation.

Zionist Israel does not want peace. They want to cleanse the Palestinians of their land. Surely you have seen the map of Palestine/Israel from 1948-2021. You can clearly see how the constant/continuous settlement expansion over the 70 odd years has almost left them with no land. this is always about settlement expansion. stealing more land. ethnic cleansing. nothing more, nothing less.

And waging war won’t help the Palestinians in the end. I agree there needs to be more dialogue, but if their leadership pushes for more war in the future, they will probably lose even more as a National security condition

Netanyahu has failed to form a new government after four general elections. The torch is with the opposition. If they fail there will be the fifth election.

Not so sure, or counting him out.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Netanyahu will be out of office very soon and will need to make a plea deal in his court case just like his wife did.

I'm not so sure about that one, maybe, but I have my doubts

War crimes against humanity towards the Palestinians, have been going on LONG LONG before Hamas. Hamas came into power in 2007 BECAUSE of the Israelies Apartheid regime.

Duly noted and that just hasn't worked out and helped the Palestinians, it has made their situation worse.

The indigenous people of Palestine have the right to resist occupation by the colonizers (the zionists from the UK) by international law.

I disagree with that vehemently.

The colonizers have imprisoned gaza, population of over 2 million, of which 40% are under 16 years of age, as collective punishment. Let that sink in. Israel only allows 4 hours of electricity a day for the past 15 years! (has been completely cut off as of yesterday) let that sink in. THESE prison guards are just inhumane. Period. Lets not talk about the food shortages, clean water, sewage, etc. Read about how this open air prison has been surviving for almost 15 years.

Well, the real humane thing is that Hamas stocks schools with arms and weapons put innocent women and children in harm's way, use money that is given to them internationally to buy and stockpile arms, look what they do to gays, they execute them, we have people that want to support this terrorist group that would kill anyone that is an infidel or different, just on that why would anyone support them, they are not building new schools, rebuilding their rapidly destroyed and decaying infrastructure. Iran continues to be their biggest sponsor and has their hands deep in this. Hamas is responsible for the plight and suffering of their people, not Israel. If the Palestinians want peace, they can start by replacing Hamas as their head government, they have too much blood on their hands.

There's a fundamental flaw in the two state plan and it is found in the ICC rulings that went into its assertion of jurisdiction over the entire Occupied Territories including East alQuds.

1) they ruled as legally invalid the argument that the 'peace deal' that had the PA cede control over the Jewish only 'settlements' negated the right of the Palestinian majority having the right to self determination there.

2) they ruled as legally invalid the argument that the UNSC resolutions adopted to support and echo that agreement negated the right of the Palestinian majority having the right to self determination there.

3) they ruled as legally invalid the argument that the depopulation of the Palestinian population from where those 'settlements' are negates or extinguishes the reality that the legal population of those places is majority Palestinian who retain their right to self determination there

4) they ruled as legally invalid the argument that the length of time that the Israeli regime has been able to control those places and maintain the depopulation negates or extinguishes the reality that the majority of the legal population there is majority Palestinian who retain their right to self determination there

And that means that even if the Israeli regime and the US bully the PA into agreeing to a fully written two state deal, and then get a UNSC resolution to support and echo that agreement, it does not extinguish the reality that the legal population of Israel is majority Palestinian who retain their right to self determination over whatever is called Israel and the ICC is willing to issue rulings to that effect, meaning that as soon as the question gets in front of the ICC it will declare an Israeli state that doesn't recognize the right of return to the Refugees, and recognizes those who do return as citizens with full rights as an Apartheid state

It’s too bad that American politicians are unable to stand up to Israel.

The calculation should be very simple: Do what we say or we cut you off.

America cannot and will not tell Israel what to do. The tail now wags the dog. America is as guilty as Israel for it's genocide. They supply the weapons and finances to carry it out.

These acts are articulated crimes against humanity, violations of the Geneva Conventions, a violation of the American construction and simply illegal. America and her bootlicking allies are in deep trouble rehsrding these crimes. And that is why America protects Israel in the UN and threatenes the ICC members and the Hague when they want to look into war crimes, etc.

I guess the UN proposed Arab state was for someone else then.

(and your 20% Arab population living in the only democratic society in the MidEast).

They are not Arabs, they are Palestinians.

Iran, which is Persian, not Arab, is the largest democracy in the ME. 10x bigger than the worlds biggest human rights violator according to UNSC resolutions, which most are blocked by Amerika.

the answer my friend is one google search away. Try “are top political influences” and “Jewish”

just wait until the Epstein (alleged Mossad agent) black book in his safe is found.

such a weak leader. He let a Squad member berate him on the tarmac for nearly 10 mins.

Then spent his speech praising her while not even saying her name correctly, as he obviously has no idea who she actually is.

Followed by trying to appear strong by demanding that Israel do the exact thing the Squad member told him to do.

Im glad Bibi simply ignored this weak leader who is just repeating what he is told to say.

Got to love the Associated Press..

A brutal, illegal occupation and genocide that has been well documented and that has been in place for 75 plus years is an operation. How absolutely sanitary..

It is as though words like, ethnic cleansing, land theft, torture and terrorism no longer exist.. Operation?

Perhaps you can only use words like these when the country is China, where there is zero evidence of anything?

Ah, got to love Western news. They always leave out the details.

Once the people in the Gaza and other Palestinian-Arab territories stop harboring terrorists in their neighborhoods and stop tolerating missile launches on innocent Israelis, then Israel will not have to harshly defend itself.

And will the israeli right-wing governement also stop unlawfully annexing territories and stealing land from innocent palestinians or is that too much to ask?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Keep fighting to protect yourself Israel (and your 20% Arab population living in the only democratic society in the MidEast).

Once the people in the Gaza and other Palestinian-Arab territories stop harboring terrorists (their elected government Hamas) in their neighborhoods and stop tolerating missile launches on innocent Israelis, then Israel will not have to harshly defend itself.

I assume most posters here are from countries that were victims of Islamic terrorist attacks in the last 20 years. How many of you vocally supported those terrorists?

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

Yeah that was hilarious how Israel just brushed off the Biden demand he had to make after getting scolded by “Rasheed” Tlaib.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Long term Palestinians will thank Israel for this operation.

"Long term Palestinians" won't exist anymore by the time Netanyahu and his party of right-wing loons finish what they intend to do.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

The thing is that what does Netanyahu have to fear. When you're an unindicted leader with command responsibility for War Crimes and Genocide with the ICC already investigating, with no chance of surviving refusing to follow a trail that made headlines around the world, you know your fate isn't made worse by adding a charge of genocide to everything else (The carpet bombing of Gaza is 'only' a war crime, but with the aggravating factors of the blockage of vaccines and PPE, then forcing the population to gather in shelters and the targeting of medical clinics and labs during a global epidemic pushes it into the category of genocide) Having ordered many assassinations (And apparently participated in a few too) and with the example of Saddam Hussein before him, he knows that the US is not going to let him live long enough to be interrogated by anyone but American troops.

And he really doesn't want to be alive to see the end of the dream of Israel sealed by the Israeli regime fall at the hands of its own population anyway. Even if someone else manages to grab him alive and secure him for transportation to the Hague with an escort that the US can't break through without seriously tipping its hand, he'll find a way to 'sacrifice' himself to keep the cult alive

The real problem here is Hamas, they are responsible for each death on both sides.

They so dirty none of the Arab countries want anything to do with them.

President Biden has a rational approach and it's good to know that there are negotiations going on to stop the bloodshed.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

Keep going until Hamas surrender! Long term Palestinians will thank Israel for this operation. Keep going!

you would all do the same

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

Of course Bibi told Biden to shove it...he wants to kill more women and children to save his political career.

No, he wants to kill the Hamas leadership, I can’t disagree with him on that and if Hamas cares so much about their people then why were most of the target sites near schools and hospitals? They always do this, they make sure that all of their military Arsenal is near facilities near where there are many women and children present. Again, that’s on Hamas.

He also knows the minute he stops this crime against humanity he is going to jail for corruption and will never have a political chance again because without war and strife he has no platform!

Give me a break, this is just nonsense, but it seems the left in Israel are trying the same nutty smear tactic again to hopefully gin up support to get him to stop, not going to happen, nor should it.

Hamas started it??? What when they illegally evicted palestinians from al quds, stopped people worshipping for ramadan and lety the nuttyyahoo extremist settlers march through palestinians enclaves taunting them about how they can do whatever they want??? You hasbara trolls really have a lot to answer for!

6 ( +10 / -4 )

It seems like Israel doesn't look at Palestinians as human as long as seeing tragic destruction in Gaza. Israel is militarily much more powerful country. It seems a kinda little genocide there.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Bibi basically told Biden to shove it. This is how these leaders see Biden’s weak and irrelevant. I definitely feel for the innocent Palestinians, but they chose Hamas, voted them into power and now Hamas is leading that part down a dead end road and as long as they’re in power the world can complain and moan all they want, Bibi and his government are going to decapitate the head of the snake, minimizing casualties as much as they possibly can, but make no mistakes Hamas is going to lose this one badly and I don’t feel sorry for them. They started it, now Israel is going to finish it. Hopefully when all this is over, the Palestinians will up in Gaza and hold new elections to bring in a new government, because as long as the people look for hope in Hamas, they will get absolutely nothing but death and destruction.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

If you support Israel's 'right to exist', then you support these atrocities. It's all part of the same package.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

Liberal Israelis claim they are losing friends arguing against Israel's atrocities. Many Palestinians have lost friends too, but in a slightly different manner. Israelis/Jews need to cut out the virtue signalling, and take some responsibility for these war crimes.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

Every Israeli (American) rocket/bomb fired or dropped on Gaza plants a seed of hatred in the hearts of the long-suffering populace to be watered by the tears of the survivors thirsting for a future eye for eye. This cycle of revenge can only be stopped by setting up a process of reconciliation between Arabs and Jews, starting with the abandonment of the ideology of a Zionist racial state for Jews only. And America should pay for the wall (its demolition) while the Arab oil states step up to the plate for the wherewithal to finance the rebuilding of Palestinian livelihoods. There, fixed it!
