Every nation has control over it's people by governing them, now we can disagree with many of course but it is up to the people of that nation, and my feeling is the Chinese people don't even care about the me too or the you too movements, LOL

Odd silence from NBA players, Hollywood and a certain Japanese tennis player when the “oppressor” is China.

Let the ruling CCP abuse women in silence !

American “conservatives” would live a Chinese-style crackdown on Twitter and Facebook.

So where is the Meetoo movement? Nothing from LeBron? Why doesn’t Biden condemn China in the most harshest terms? AOC and the Squad? Why the silence from everyone on the whereabouts of this woman the condemnation of the CCP?

Every nation has control over it's people by governing them

The people vote for leadership. They are not "governed", without consent.

When the government is fraudulently placed in office, the people do not consent.

CCP is trying to push its ways onto the USA, by way of a puppet president,

but "We the people", do not consent.

CCP China is not a democracy, to those who expect it to behave as such,

you'll wait a long time.

So you don’t think China oppresses it’s people?

Of course they do. thats why I said it was odd that Hollywood and NBA players/other Japanese tennis players are suddenly silent, when they complain/comment about everything else.

None of this is relevant

It’s all relevant

It’s be really helpful if you kept your responses relevant to the original post.

I do, so why is it that these liberal progressive groups and these athletes that are so pro-China are silent on the whereabouts of this woman?

Hope she's OK.

We know the talking point af a Fox “News” is to ask why American athletes aren’t speaking out. We don’t need to actually watch Fox “News” given Bass and Black parrot it every day here.

So I should quote liberals sites? Why?

China oppresses its people in places like Xinjiang by making them wear these oppressive clothes:

Shameful!

China oppresses its people in places like Xinjiang by making them wear these oppressive clothes:

Yeah, it’s disgusting, they completely destroyed all the mosques and took many of the Muslim minority the kids and put them in the shops and kick the parents out, deported them and then at the same time keeping the kids and indoctrinating them into the Chinese way of life and culture and then re-populating is in Xinjiang with Han Chinese.

I mean this comment was super helpful in getting the situation resolved.

"I hope Peng Shuai and her family are safe and ok. I'm in shock of the current situation and I'm sending love and light her way."

No criticism of China, no mention of MeToo.

Make a comment and share a hashtag on Twitter. perfectly safe and bland.

LeBron too busy punching dudes in the face and getting suspended to bother to comment. (Plus, he doesnt care, its not a racial issue to exploit).

Exactly, just look at the pitiful state of the one remaining mosque. Hardly anyone is allowed to pray there. They won't even let any foreigners there:

Seems to me that many people forget that China is not a Democratic Country. They are Communist.

More people die in the US than in China from authorities' violence. Police every year shoot more than 1000 people to death in the US. More than 50,000 people every year are hospitalized in the US because of the use of force by the police. China is no angel. But vilifying only China is just US-led propaganda. Let us not lose balance here. Different countries have different ways of doing things. How many citizens they kill is an objective measurement of the human rights situation in each country. China is no angel, but the US is worse when it comes to not respecting human rights.
