Very sad for the beautiful, historic city of Venice.

The only solution is to abandon the coasts. Anything below, say, five feet (more?) above sea-level will be toast. Rebuilding is futile. Mother Nature has had enough. She will win in the end.

Left unsaid is the amount of garbage, pollution that will be washed to the water every time it floods. Pretty soon, the waterway will be nothing but pigs' lagoons.
