If something like this happened in another country not highly favoured by the US, we would be hearing of "Regime Changing, and the country would be heavily criticized by the US.

"Obama wasn't - pure merit. Obama is a very smart man."

"He is????? ROFL!"

Oh, yes. Very much so. You said so yourself. Have you changed your mind on yet another thing? Is believing Obama is stupid a prerequisite to entering the lunatic fringe?

"All that cash and he's still trash."

"I feel the same about the previous president."

Obama isn't trash. He's a pretty dignified man - no comments about p____y grabbing, knob jokes on live TV, idiotic twitter rants, cat fights with beauty queens etc. Even the most vicious partisans - those who called him a Muslim, the anti-Christ and not a US citizen didn't try that label.

You agreed with me that Trump is trash. Have you changed your mind on that too? Are such beliefs allowed on the lunatic fringe?

She's pretty hot, I mean I'd probably date her. But sometimes she doesn't look great in certain outfits and she slumps her shoulders forward.

Trump aides in White House speak their minds when they are expected to say what Trump said. Ivanka wants to stop such distortions. Even here, wharevver you wriiite, Trump suppoorrrterbcome to bother you.

This is so so wrong, We are going to see a LOT of unprecedented happenings from this fake president & his clan, un frigging believable!

Her father went to went to the Wharton School of Business and he came out an inarticulate, ignorant, boorish, childish, semi-literate loudmouth. Oh, he also lied about his academic performance.

But so, so rich and in your face. The last president went to Harvard and was the most snarky, inconsiderate and divisive sneak. So basically, the moral of the story is, college won't necessarily make a smart man out of you, personality does and the last one lacked it, but those days are behind us, thank God!

"Ivanka graduated summa cum laude with a degree in economics from the Wharton School of Finance."

Hope the Wharton School of Finance produces better end results.

I agree that Ivanka and all the other relatives shouldn't be unpaid employees. We need to change the laws to prevent this sort of stuff. They are doing it just for future the business contacts.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I'd certainly like to grab her p****.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Ivanka graduated summa cum laude

Impressive, pretty and an exceptionally smart woman.

Once the Supreme court is settled, all should go as planned.

Ah, conservative utopia and big dreams that the world has changed because they have a white conservative in the Supreme Court. You won the lottery, not.

Just like Roberts was supposed to be a savior for the conservatives, but Roberts was a deciding factor in a number of rational decisions that contradicted the conservative agenda. Judges are independent and don't do what politicians want them to do.

I expect the new judge to anger the Trump crowd, and soon. Trump is just too free wheeling and fancy free with the truth and the law, and he will get slapped down by the Supreme Court.

The Trump crowd doesn't have any concept of the law. They think the law is their world view.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The thing is, she'll probably be more fiscally and ethically correct than the big guy. We'll see her taxes. Besides, Mr. Nunez is the joker in the deck this week. Pulling attention off of Bannon. Notice how we're not hearing anything from Don's generals?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

But the problem is that nepotism laws are there for a reason. Laws aren't made for when things are working well, they are made for when things are not working well.

When the next Kennedy becomes President and hires another Kennedy, nobody would complain

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

I actually like Ivanka, she comes across as much more balanced than her father to me. And I actually think that if she has the ability to temper some of Trump's temper, she'd be a good thing.

But the problem is that nepotism laws are there for a reason. Laws aren't made for when things are working well, they are made for when things are not working well.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

At least it's official and thus there's no grey area

Ivanka should be a good influence on moderating Trump

0 ( +0 / -0 )

No, all her sides are weak. She can't take heat in interviews. She is weak- period.

No, she's strong, do you have a name brand company, a logo, a private jet or penthouse? I think not, can't get that if you're weak. Go Trump.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

"Trump probably doesn't even know what nepotism is at this point."

He probably just typed it in the search box of a porn site.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

some of the strongest people had a weak side

No, all her sides are weak. She can't take heat in interviews. She is weak- period.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

I might trust her more than I trust her father.

Tepid endorsement.

Trump leaves a lot to be desired in the area of trust.

But what do you expect from an ideologue. By their nature, they don't engender trust, only blind followers.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I know that there has been a moment against Mr Trump, surly that moment must be getting bigger, can't the American public see what he's doing? He want to make America grate again, well that good, but they way he's going about it is shall we say, dictatorial, forceful, unlawful, and they way his daughter is conducting her self is almost shameful and not in the American publics best interest. The USA was a country to be reckoned and deal with, but now, it is a laughing stock throughout the world, but is DT bothered? i guess not as he's making shed loads of money, and thats all he's bothered about, making money,

0 ( +1 / -1 )

She's very weak. She walks out of interviews instead of facing tough questions. The WH is a joke now.

Nothing wrong with being weak, some of the strongest people had a weak side. As for a joke, the last 8 years of a joke came to an end last November. Phew!

Tell that to the Kennedys, the Bushes, or the Clintons. Obama is one of the few who never appointed a family member to some kind of position.

Nepotism doesn't apply to liberals.

On the positive side, Ivanka Trump is one of the smarter people in Washington. I once went to a business seminar where she spoke, and, despite my skepticism, and to my surprise, I was impressed by her. She knew what she was talking about, and gave solid answers to questions. I might trust her more than I trust her father.

I agree!

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

nepotism is at this point.

Can he spell it on Twitter?

Of course, Ivanka...

She's very weak. She walks out of interviews instead of facing tough questions. The WH is a joke now.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Nepotism is the new swamp drain.

To paraphrase GWB at the inaguration, that was some weird stuff.

Everyday we see weird stuff coming out of Trump.

Of course, Ivanka (the daughter/wife of Trump) having a role at the WH is normal and business as usual for the Trump supporters. I can't recall any president hiring family. Of course, presidents' families helped on the side with politics, charity and leading various pet movements, but actually employing them???

Yet, Trump can't fill over 550 key positions in government and only has about 35 people "tapped" to fill position.

I guess he needs family to do his job. For example, his son-in-law has so many roles, I don't think there is much left for Trump except tweeting, signing EOs, and golfing.

Bassfunk..

Because it really matters so much which bathroom someone uses.... or does it.. really?

If you have the gear to standup you can otherwise you are in a cubicle so who cares..

You know people who are really intending on entering a bathroom for any unscrupulous purpose don't care what the sign says.

Instead of wasting time back-pedalling and repealing of forward looking legislation, you could focus on the larger issues at hand.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Soon you'll be able to buy rejected Noordstorm clothing from the White House website.

Trump probably doesn't even know what nepotism is at this point.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

My time living in Japan is about to come to an end. I'm gonna go back to my home country. My father is the current president, and he's got a job lined up for me. I'll be joining his administrative and take a position as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Well, I've lived overseas and traveled around Asia for a while now, so, I think I qualify for this position. Oh, by the way, I will split my monthly salary and donate it to different charities because I'm not doing it for the money.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Wait until Gorsuch is confirmed.

Is he going to build the Mexico wall? What happened to Trump's wall (and that Mexico would pay)?

repeal Transgender law

What does this have to do with good jobs Trump promised? This doesn't do anything for anyone economically. Who cares about that? Trump broke his promise to bring back coal jobs.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

I think all this hatred and derangement fallout is hilarious.

Federal judge in Hawaii extends court order blocking Trump travel ban (news source)

All of Trump's failures are hilarious. He is 0-for-what now? He's not even in control. It's as if the US has no president.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Probably one of the many reasons why Trump's approval ratings are imploding while his dishonesty ratings are skyrocketing.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Ivanka sells clothes and Hilary sells uranium cake to Russia. Yes definitely ivanka is the worst

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

"Another intern in the Oval Office?"

Given the creepy photos of Trump with Ivanka and the comments he's made about her.....

9 ( +10 / -1 )

I for one am glad to see her there. At least she is more competent than her father. (My, what an amazingly low bar has been set.)

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Well, I don' think this is breaking any laws, but it does raise some concerns about nepotism, cronyism, and security clearances

5 ( +6 / -1 )

@bass Personally, I think all this hatred and derangement fallout is hilarious.

If you think some of these comments are bad, you should read those written by a guy whose sockpuppet is bass4funk.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

None of that happened. Howsabout you actually discuss things in the real world, not your imagination?

I am, you just hate the woman and her father, I get it, but I would be more comfortable with you just saying, I hate the Trump's than just the left complaining and harping on every little thing she does. The woman scratches her nose, it's a pitiful shame. Personally, I think all this hatred and derangement fallout is hilarious.

-18 ( +1 / -19 )

Having security clearance, security clearance to what ? Does this mean just to go in and out of the white house or entry into the US governments computers? Now the latter would be a frightening prospect.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Another intern in the Oval Office?

9 ( +10 / -1 )

bass4funkMAR. 30, 2017 - 09:02AM JST It's hilarious, doesn't matter what this woman does, you guys would still jump all over her, she could open a safe refuge for injured children and baby and endangered animals, you guys would still come up with something to hate this woman with.

None of that happened. Howsabout you actually discuss things in the real world, not your imagination?

You are saying there is no difference between a real university, where students come out of four years with a real degree, and Trump university, where students came out with absolutely nothing?

I am saying at the rate of tuition that students have to pay and how many of them after they graduate can't get a job in the field that they studied makes a huge financial waste of time and money, that is what you call a scam and the results are essentially, you were scammed. That's what I was talking about.

If you want to know the real reason Trump was able to win electoral college votes, it's because there are so many people in the US that lack the intelligence to see the difference between things like what you just outlined as being equal.

-20 ( +1 / -21 )

No difference than going to a 4 year university, paying 60K for a 4 year education and working at Burger King

11 ( +15 / -4 )

And it doesn't matter what they do, you would support them.

I support Trump, but that doesn't mean, I would give him a pass on everything, big difference.

Trump University scam,

No difference than going to a 4 year university, paying 60K for a 4 year education and working at Burger King, that's not a scam? Happens all the time.

P grabbing,

Not as bad as what Bill Clinton did.

no healthcare plan,

That's the job of congress and well, we know how useful they are.

giveaways to corporations and Wall Street, conflicts of interests, endless "alternative facts," nepotism, etc.

Ok, so what's the problem?

It would be easier just to say you hate liberals so much you'd choose any alternative.

No, most of my closest friends are liberals, I don't hate them for what they are, I might pity them, but I just hate their politics, not the people, especially the radical alt-left.

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

It's hilarious, doesn't matter what this woman does, you guys would still jump all over her, she could open a safe refuge for injured children and baby and endangered animals, you guys would still come up with something to hate this woman with. It would be easier to just say, we hate conservatives

-23 ( +2 / -25 )

American royal family?? Ivanka as an advisor, why? Trump is surrounding himself with a wall of family members in his administration and the USA looks really stupid to foreign countries more so now that ever before.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Ivanka will not be working. She will just be travelling on taxpayer money, seeing the world and chatting in the shadows about selling her products, eyeing industry to see where her brothers can steal an idea.

The trumps don't work. They are cons.

17 ( +18 / -1 )

Free publicity for shoddy goods made in China. Her office and security paid for by the US taxpayer. When is she going to convince daddy to let her design the gear worn by the secret service agents assigned to protect her and her family? @serrano was right: rules are different for the peasants. To paraphrase James Brown: This is an elite's world... And Trump reminds us of this every day.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Unpaid employee, really!!!

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Nepotism is the new swamp drain.
