Fox News is not performing a "public service" in the USA. If it was a broadcast station, it would have lost the license to broadcast. Because it is only on CATV, there isn't a license to be pulled.

theFuToday 11:50 am JSTFox News is not performing a "public service" in the USA. If it was a broadcast station, it would have lost the license to broadcast.

When it started in 1984 it mostly showed concerts from bands like night Ranger and Huey Lewis + the News. Around 1986 the greedy Rupert Murdoch bought it - he already had a rotten rep in his native Down Under.
