It will be fun to watch a supreme court judge's wife plead the 5th.
They should also subpoena Fistpump McRunpants (aka Josh Hawley), his actions on J6 are highly suspicious.

“Certainly, we’re very focused as well on the Secret Service”
Best press your smartest suit and polish your shoes Mr Engel.

All you need to know is your listen to how they word things.
“hasn’t decided” and “looking at”.
plus the usual Schiff nonsense of having seen evidence- but can never show it.
kinzinger? “I think” and “I think”

He grabbed the wheel! He assaulted an agent!
we proved that by someone saying there was a heated discussion, they say.
ummm not even close to the same thing.

And then what?
More time wasting
https://tvline.com/2022/07/22/tv-ratings-january-6-hearing-how-many-watched/
And it’s getting worse.

I think the sensible thing to do would be to wait. You can make up your excuses later.

Secret service isn’t coming off looking too good here.
They “just happened” to “accidentally” violate the Federal records act by deleting a raft of texts on the 6th, one of the most consequential days in US history, that they were eye-witnesses to, after the records were requested, during a routine upgrade that JUST HAPPENED to wipe them all along with (according to the secret service) any back ups.
Gosh, that is a rather unusual set of highly individually unlikely happenings occurring suspiciously close together.
How convenient for the former guy.
And he’s to agents Tony and Bobbi. Still no on the record testimony inspire of a lot of off the record denials and 3rd party corroboration that doesn’t support their story.
Yesterday, we find out that they’re both eligible to receive government representation but have both lawyered up privately. One wonders why and who’s paying. (Hint: unlikely to be Bobby or Tony).
Nope Secret Service, particularly Trump’s detail would seem to have some credibility issues.
And then there’s Ginni: Calling her an “activist” is like calling Millie Vanilli singers. She is really HQ for every crack pot in the republic who just happens to be married to a Supreme Court justice. She too was making noise about appearing voluntarily before she started waffling.
I bet Clarence can’t get her out of this one.
Ginni, Bobby and Tony: Come on down! You’re the next contestants on “He can’t save you now.”

The committee has done a masterful job of bringing in TRUMP"S OWN TEAM to testify against him - showing he knew HE LOST, and then concocted a crazy scheme to stage a coup that its own author (Eastman) admitted was ILLEGAL. He then continued to fleece his flock with a Defend the Election fund that DIDN'T EXIST....
We also learned Trump sat and watched the violence at the Capitol from the WH dining room for 187 minutes and did NOTHING TO STOP IT - even has Don Jr, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham were e-mailing Meadows urging him to get Trump to say something to his crazed supporters. In fact, he continued to incite the violence by tweeting "Mike Pence was a coward", putting his loyal VP and HIS FAMILY in mortal danger...
As the article highlights, get more of these Trump cabinet officials and staff in the dock under oath; Meadows, Pompeo, Eastman, Navarro, and Pence...
Get them to cooperate or plead the 5th - proving as Trump said in 2016, "only the mob takes the 5th"...

I see the “nobody is watching” (20 million watched the last set) and the Pee-wee Herman “And then what? I know you are but what am I? It doesn’t matter” (it really does) arguments have been deployed early today.
Must be pretty thin pickings in the Seditionist in Chief defense cabinet...
Nemo
And actually he did. Multiple times. Kind of inconvenient for the disinformation specialists…

The day of Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony we were told she was a liar and that the next day it would be disproved by the secret service.
Then that became they are preparing a statement, which next became they are being ignored; the hearings won’t listen to them, which apparently became evidence of a cover up, which now becomes ‘nobody is watching anyway’.
What twist and turns will this saga take next?

And is down 11%
https://nypost.com/2022/07/22/jan-6-hearing-ratings-down-from-opener-draws-17-7m-viewers/
Thursday’s audience failed to match the 20 million who tuned in for the first prime-time hearing June 9, but outstripped each of the other six hearings, which was expected since they were held during daytime TV hours and not carried on broadcast networks.
oh, yes it does, TV is always about ratings, always and if you’re losing your audience especially return audience, it’s really that bad.
Less straws for the left to grasp ahold and its getting worse as we head into November.
Bob Fosse
What will your next target be once November has come and gone? Is there another storm coming?

Whether the Jan 6th committee hearings result in formal criminal changes by the DOJ, it has done one thing - it's made more and more Repubs realize that Trump is severely damaged and has no future as a leader in the party...
This has been made ever more clear by Rupert Murdoch's conservative media empire turning their back on Trump;
*Both the tabloid New York Post and business masthead The Wall Street Journal at the weekend condemned the former president’s behavior on the day in question, with the former saying Mr Trump was *“unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again”.
https://www.afr.com/companies/media-and-marketing/murdoch-s-us-newspapers-turn-against-trump-20220724-p5b43s
And you also have the former Trump-toadies at Fox News now showering more love on DeSantis than Trump...
The facts are that the Georgia AG's criminal investigation of Trump for election tampering poses much more of a threat to him than the DOJ. There has already been a grand jury impaneled and witnesses are testifying. Trump's own words, "I just want to find 11,400 votes" essentially incriminates him....
Which is why Trump will rain all over the Repubs 2022 and 2024 chances and announce another run, because he sees the WH as the only way he can avoid an indictment...and jail...
So expect MAGA-wars 2.0, as he and DeSantis try to out-insult one another, with the other clown car occupants; Pence, Pompeo, Hawley, Graham, Rubio, Cotton, et al, joining in...

One only hopes AG Garland will look at the overwhelming amount of firsthand testimony and Don’s own words and indict him sooner rather than later, cause he’s guilty AF. I bet there are a hundred line prosecutors who would enter the Hunger Games for the right to put Don in the dock.
When, not if, he is indicted and goes to trial, jury selection will be the ball game. The evidence is so clear-cut and overwhelming that jury nullification is Don’s only hope of avoiding a lifelong (that means 10 years or less for him) reservation in Trump Tower Leavenworth.
Trump tower Leavenworth: Come for the monotonous views (I’m from KS. It’s boring around there.) Stay because of the razor wire and guards with rifles. Room for the whole family!
bass4funk
Should be.The list is very long with the Democrats, very, very long.
Garland is not going to risk being another Reid.
Neither Trump nor his family members will never go to prison, that’s just not going to happen.
stormcrow
Liz Cheney is going to come out of this stronger than ever, even a lot of Democrats like her now.
Remember Ross Perot?

Citing NY Post....you must view them as a credible media source. Am sure then you'll agree with them when they say this....
*To his eternal shame,** as appalled aides implored him to publicly call on his followers to go home, he instead further fanned the flames by tweeting: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution.”*
*It’s up to the Justice Department to decide if this is a crime. But as a matter of principle, as a matter of character,* Trump has proven himself unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again.

You seem to be focusing on that incident as if that's all Trump's accused of and it's easily refuted.
bass4funk
NY Post citing Nielsen, of course they would know, that’s their job.
Of course it is and Garland is not that dumb, he knows full well if he starts jailing political opponents that the left doesn’t like for political reasons, let’s not kid ourselves for one moment, the Republicans can and might do the same
To a large extent, yes and that part of history is playing itself out again.
