With people starving around the world, these contests are disgusting. Thumbs down on participants, sponsors and the the media for continuing to publicize.

To critics of this event...you can't feed the poor starving people of the world hot dogs; it wouldn't be ethical. Hot dogs are a lot of animal parts and preservatives that would have otherwise been discarded.

@jala. totally agree. this is just to show off to starving people we don't give a monkeys. it is like driving a gas guzzling V8 to work when an ecologically sound electric car can do the same job.
Scrote
He'll give himself indigestion carrying on like that.

Gluttony.

I don´t get these eating contests. They are sick and obscene. Food exists for survival, not for stupid entertainment.

Where is that rule defined?

Come on these types of contest show what exactly? Just a waste of time and a slight amount of stupidity in the mix ....

Hold the contest, sure, but ... please distribute the food to the Homeless within the surrounding area for the same number of days as the quantity of hot dogs that the winner eats - in this case, for case days.... that is the only way, that this competition could possibly be viewed in a positive light and for the Company involved to salvage any form of respectability from this debacle. Failing that, then I say, shun them, and put them out of business.
