Was she crying because she was remorseful or because she got caught?

I wonder how just stupid one's kids have to be to require "rigging" their SAT scores regardless of whether their families are rich lor not.

The rich are different from us. They can pay for legal help allowing them to

skate around justice.

and if they have to 'serve time' they can do so in country club-like facilities where they continue their pampered lifestyles.

This statement is absolutely correct. Even when your client is legally correct, they may never see justice if the opposing party has deeper pockets.

So she got to skate around the normal entrance requirements, and she got to skate around justice. Screw these people.

She also must pay a $30,000 fine and perform 250 hours of community service.

Thirty thousand dollars?!?!? Seriously?!?! That's her shoe allowance for the month. The court should apply a formula to whatever they paid to get there kids into college and establish a scholarship fund for those who are fortunate enough to have parents with ethics, but, unfortunately, no money.

But, but, but....won't someone think of the rich?

14 days is far too short for having participated in corrupting the college admissions process further than it already is. This does nothing in regards to deterrence.
