Ubesh, if that were the case, where would be no south Asia. From my experience with populations from both regions, they are quite different.

I have had the opportunity to teach many female south Asians in my college. Most will never return to their countries. It is a serious brain-drain that will stunt the region for generations.

And the world stands by and watches while the Taliban goes on and repeats history again!

Completely ignoring the fact that much of the region's problems can be traced to the harsh and racist colonial policies and international borders drawn by predominantly white European males.

Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan are all generally considered to be West Asia. Culturally and linguistically they are very different from Arabs.

What you are missing is that IS is engaging in these attacks to destabilize the Taliban so they can take over. The Taliban only claim to want to control Afghanistan. IS claims a "caliphate" running from Pakistan across the entire Arab world and even into Spain. They see the Taliban as apostates because they do not aspire to anything beyond the borders of Afghanistan and thus they are mortal enemies.
It would be interesting to ask the Taliban pukes considering their miserable history how it feels to be on the receiving end of terrorism.

How sad to see that some are still living in the stone age. this is NOT Islam, this is the action of one disturbed attacker who knows nothing but Hate.

The Taliban are another group of 'anti-woke- extremists, people who fear equality, especially women and LGBTQ, very similar to Putin and its true believers , as well as western 'Christian conservatives', especially those who follow Tucktrump.

And yet the left thinks the problem is checking your privilege and cis het white men lol

Sometimes, forcing your culture on another culture has negative effects.

It's a strech for many to consider Pakistan to be a South Asian country, let along Afghanistan. It is culturally and socially part of the Middle East, racially who knows.
