They don't want to be there constantly fighting Assad's war for him; they want a light at the end of their tunnel too.

Even as we speak, the UNESCO site that was captured by the ISIS rebels two years ago is now being liberated by the Syrian Army.

Those UNESCO sites have already been blown up because the Assad admin took too long despite vowing soon after they fled. When they arrive, there'd be not much left sadly.
