Putin is nevertheless due to attend November's G20 summit

He won’t be there. Not a chance.

Might get away with mass bombing civilians in the Middle East but on Europe’s doorstep not going to happen. not ever justifying either. Russia obviously doesn’t view itself as being part of Europe rather content to be barbarous and viewed as a peoples lacking of compassion (not all) just random brutality.

But ...... wouldn't that be a nice chance, if you know what I mean.

A "little late", but better late than never!

Would be a great chance, but his paranoia and illness will sadly keep him out of the crosshairs.

Putin is nevertheless due to attend November's G20 summit...

The craven coward, Putin, will never attend because there he won't have a table long enough for him to hide his lying eyes from his interlocutors at the meeting of heads of state. This senseless Russian war on Ukrainians would end overnight if someone could only rid the world of this miserable creature without qualities. The day of his demise will be celebrated around the world as a holiday.

I am afraid there will be a lot more destruction until that day comes.

Ukrainian troops destroyed over 30 units of Russian equipment in Kharkiv Region

Ukrainians have been pushing the Russians away from Kharkiv, hoping to reduce the shelling of the city. The Russian border is only 20 miles away, so even if they removed all Russian forces from Ukraine, shelling could continue from Russia. Ukrainian forces would have to neutralize Russian artillery firing from Russia in order to stop all shelling of the city.

As more and more modern weapons flood into and for Ukraine, the Russians will find their positions impossible to hold.

Avenger, they are destroying lots of Russian armor, yes, because Russian are on the offensive, while most Ukrainian are in trenches, away from the fight, while Russian will eventually surround them

The neocons have long wanted their war with Russia. Looks like they’re getting it, and it won’t be even remotely surprising if they get it good and hard. It’s worth noting that it was just nine months from FDR’s establishment of Lend-Lease to formal war with Germany; if a similar time frame holds, the USA will be openly at war with Russia by January, just in time for General Winter.

But legalities and diplomacies aside, the USA is already observably at war with Russia, given that it is already spending 6x more on the Russo-NATO war than the entire Ukrainian military budget. All the endless word games and legal posturings about the expansive redefinition of neutrality and what is justified in response to the illegality of war aren’t going to prevent a single missile from being fired against a legitimate target in a belligerent state.

Russia has done a terrible job so far of surrounding anything. Look at the maps of the early days of the war compared to today.

Russia will continue to have its tanks destroyed and that will just make it harder to "surround" anything.

This war will be taught for years in military academies as one of the great strategic blunders, and also about the evolution of warfare and how small mobile weapons can fend off a much larger traditional force.

In terms of geo-politics, it has set the world, and Russia in particular, back 30 years. A positive is that it is now very clear what character Putin really is. It will also wean Western Europe off of Russian gas, and hopefully lead to a reversal of Angela Marckle's bizarre decision to stop using nuclear power after 2011.

The time has come for Ukraine to go on the offensive and take this war to the Russian people so they can start to revolt and go against it.

So far the Russian public have been misled and misinformed about this war, if they become fully aware of it then they will turn against it.

Ukraine has developed a co dependency, dependent on others, while not listening to others, the US was virtually running the strategy up to the invasion, till the first bomb dropped,if the US was making decisions now, they would not hesitate launching in target inside Russia

"It is unfortunate, but such a deliberate and brutal humiliation of the United Nations by Russia has gone unanswered," he said.

The whole “Schtick” is trying to publicly shame countries into taking actions, giving free weapons and donating money,

with a heavy dose of propaganda on top.

Cricky, you're right, the US and it's proxies have gotten away with mass bombing civilians in the Middle East, but when the Kiev regime kept doing it in Donetsk and Luhansk, Russia intervened (eventually, they tried diplomacy first, only to be snubbed by America and the EU troika) to put a stop to it.

The lend lease act congress just passed certainly isn't giving free weapons. And countries can give them weapons for free if they want.

You mean that Biden should have asked for a personal favour like the fellow before him?
