I think the title King Charles III is quite befitting, considering the legacy of the first two.

What do they do for NZ and Australia. Apart from the odd visit at the NZ and Aussie taxpayers expense they have zero control over any of our govt's choices. She was a lovely old lady and big respect for her dedication but do these 2 countries need the Monarchy?

Does Britain? The monarchy takes up prime real estate with its palaces.
But does Japan need the Emperor?
There is a history behind all these things. Maybe the history is worth something to all these places.

Their history is the obverse of the free market exchange of goods.
Ancient appropriation of others property through force .
Continued rents and titles originating from that leading to billions in assets.
Not an original, transformative idea from their members in hundreds of years.
But they persist and live richly.
Thought a neo liberal might be against it.

Why not just Declare Independence from such a system?

There was a vote in Australia in 1999.

To have a monarch at all is absurd circa 2022 but to have one who resides on the other side and at the other end of the planet is talking the absurdity to comical levels.

And DON'T PAY any tax. Zero, none, zilch.

Time to do away with the obsolete monarchism.
Some monarchs are no better than any autocrat, others are just squandering their inherited wealth at their subjects' expense..
