What a disgusting and offensive move on the part of LA County. I hope the judge that hears this matter not only rules against the county but excoriates their attorneys for the raw immorality of what they are doing.

This sounds punitive to me. Like the city is trying to strong arm her for the fact that it’s employees took pictures of the burned corpse of her daughter and then passed them around like trading cards.

Seems like that is the kind of thing, that if it were NOT accompanied by severe psychological distress, would necessitate an exam.

Hold the cops accountable.

Rather, the ghoulish reprobates who TOOK the photos should undergo psychiatric evaluation instead. What kind of monster would do such a thing? Unless they were hoping to make some coin selling the images to the tabloid press of course...

It wasn't just Sheriff's deputies but paramedics and firefighters were sharing the photos around too. I'm sure this happens routinely but we don't hear about it unless it involves the rich and famous. I remember someone I used to work with driving school buses (to pay for college) who later became a Highway Patrol officer referring to "Dead Freds" and worse.

Repulsive.

Us L.A. people and Lakers/Kobe stand with Vanessa! Those running L.A. County are a bunch of backstabbers.

What the first responders did was WRONG, but let the courts will decide

It's a sick thing. I remember after seeing a Rolling Stones concert at the university where I got my degree there was a young lady who was clearly on some very bad hard drug. LSD, E. DMT. STP, I dunno but she was constantly falling on a wet floatee device, thrashing about wildly and giggling hysterically out of control. She had no perception of where she was and she was in extreme danger. It was a bit scary. Two idiots were taking video footage of this 'drama' with their smartphones and after paramedics hauled her off, one of them was still there recording the drama and a cop told him to 'turn that thing off and go home'. I honestly don't know what what imbeciles like those two get out of things like that. Exploitative yes, but it's simply morbid and disgusting.

People are quickly desensitized working these kinds if jobs. Not that it excuses their behavior. Poor woman.
