Note carefully that the South China Morning Post, that revered old newspaper, had not been touched by the Chinese. It has, however, turned into mostly a CCP propaganda outlet. I have read SCMP for many decades but about a year and a half ago one could sense the change in editorial policy and I dumped them.

The writing is on the wall for Hong King - communism will come. It was destined from the day the British formerly ended the lease in the territory through agreement with the CCP. It’s just a shame that the government was a marxist-socialist dystopia at the time the lease ran out. There is no mechanism to enforce the 50 year transition agreement. I am just surprised the politburo allowed the people this long before lowering the red boom on them. Socialism is a horrid way to organize a nation.

Some say there is actually a difference between hierarchical Capitalism and hierarchical Communism. Sorry, a simple glance will tell you that both are just systems of thugs and slaves, masters and the obedient. Disobedience in both systems has exactly the same results. Which is MORE viable? Neither, because they are, in practice, identical. Is there something in the rise of 'China' which differs from the rise of 'America' other than the scope of murderous ethnic cleansing that occurred in North America during that rise? Can the Uighurs ever compare to what is represented by Wounded Knee? Was Hawaii, the People, asked if they wanted to be a U.S. State when White, U.S. Christian missionaries stole their islands? Suppose the Native Hawaiians decide they no longer want to be attached to the U.S. How many of them will we kill? THAT is what we talk about here. OWNERSHIP. Who OWNS the People of Taiwan. Don't bother asking them because they have NEVER had ANY choice in the last 127 years since Japan came to visit and then the escaping and invading mainland psychopaths under Chiang took over. We could ask the native People who have been living on that island for many thousands of years but, who cares?, they're just another set of Palestinians with no say in who abuses and kills them and steals their land. Who OWNS the real People of Taiwan, who SHOULD own the real People of Taiwan, is the question and, to my mind, NO ONE. But I'm a very small minority...

And a dark shroud descends over HK. China's CCP is stealthily enveloping HK while rest of the world is preoccupied with other issues, like the pandemic (which is affecting everyone).

That’s a long rant without much meaning anywhere. Wounded knee was wrong and is acknowledged as such, the CCP denies anything is happening in Xinjiang.

The CCP are the Nazis of this age, they are trying to wipe off a part of their population because of their religion.

Freedom in Hong Kong was doomed the day it was given to the Peoples Republic of China. I do not know why people are surprised?
