Shocking photos show police in riot gear tackling protesters to the ground amid mass demonstrations in the city. Some protestors were smashed on the head with police batons.

You should see the violence done to Yellow Vest protesters in France. The HK police acted mildly by comparison.

China is not Communist.

In theory it is.

Practically it is a capitalist dictatorship.

These criminal sympathisers clearly underestimated 1.4 billion super super majority Chinese people.

Dont underestimate the democratic aspirations of the 1.4 billion. Communism in China is held together by brute force. And as we know people cannot be suppressed forever.

Strangerland, yes, it is an atrocity for criminals like you.

You're right. There is no democracy in China. It's a joke.

a faked freedom, abused freedom.

Exactly, the Chinese government would pretend that their people have freedoms, when they are only guilty of abusing freedoms.

A smart move on part of the protestors.

There are some Chinese citizens who are brainwashed by the government, but there are many others who understand that their government lies to them all the time.

The CCP must be scared out of their pants about the revolution spreading to mainland China.

Stand strong my friends.

It's a conspiracy!

For once you’re right.

The citizens of Hong Kong are conspiring against the “controlling” Chinese government. I think you’re all growed up now.

Who's to say the far left “anti-fascist” ANTIFA fascists have not infiltrated the Hong Kong protests. They seem to be the ONLY ones who disobey protest laws and cause mayhem and destruction with faces covered.

It's a conspiracy!

I hope the protesters keep up the pressure. Not sure what it has to do with Australia, mind.

One thing is certain that colonizers will never let what happened in HK today happen on their lands, conquered or not.

And when they are worthy of criticism, we will criticize them.

But right now we are discussing fundamental rights of Hong Kong people, in Hong Kong, so let's stick to talking about Hong Kong and the rights of their people, mmmkay?

Strangerland, Hong Kong's human right ? Is that a criminal right ?

Yes, criminals are entitled to human rights as well.

A right to demolish public properties ? A right to disobate govt ? A right to ignore laws ?

A right to not have your human rights violated for having violated criminal law.

No matter which way you cut it, China has very little respect for human rights, and therefore extradition to China is unethical and can never be tolerated. If China does not like this, then China needs to start enforcing human rights for all Chinese citizens. When the rest of the world is assured of the Chinese respect for and defense of human rights for all of its citizens, then we can start to consider the extradition of prisoners to China. Until then, it would be entirely unethical to extradite people to China - even prisoners, as said extradition would in and of itself be a violation of the prisoner's human rights.

chip star, you are not an European, are you ? Chinese freedom is embedded in the equal right among all people, be a man or a woman. Chinese women can write, read poems 3000 years ago, Chinese woman can be an Empress 2000 years ago. Where were the freedom for European women then ?

Those people are dead for thousands of years.

They cannot be used as an excuse to rob Hong Kongers of their human rights.

“When two brothers are busy fighting, an evil man can easily attack and rob their poor mother. Mankind should always stay united, standing shoulder to shoulder so evil can never cheat and divide them.”

That's why we need to stand together with our brothers and sisters in China in standing strong against Chinese oppression of Hong Konger's human rights.

We need to stop the evil man China from robbing the poor mothers of Hong Kong of their children.

Chip Star, do people have freedom to not use any search engines ?

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Akie: Free people can criticize their government without fear of being disappeared by that government. They can also use any search engine they want.

China has 8000 years civilization and freedom, only colonizers want you to believe otherwise.

China has freedoms? Is that why Chinese people can't use LINE or Google? Is that why the Chinese suppress the Uighers and Tibetans. You clearly don't understand what freedom means.

"...over time we have had to learn everything about them. We watch their films, read their literature, worship in their churches, and attend their schools. Every third-grade student ... is presented with the concept of Europeans discovering ... as a "New World" with fertile soil, abundant gifts of nature, and glorious mountains and rivers. Only the most enlightened teachers will explain that this world certainly wasn't new to the millions of indigenous people who already lived here when ... arrived.”

This is exactly what the people of Hong King are doing to ensure the evil CCP cannot cheat and divide them.

The problem with this tactic is the average mainlanders is so brainwashed and uniformed that they don't care.

Goid luck, freedom loving Kongers. We hope you are alsuccessful in your resistance to the creeping tenticles of the vile, authoritarian CCP.
